Actor Karanveer Mehra, who has been riding high on success after winning Bigg Boss 18 and Khatron Ke Khiladi, recently made headlines with his emotional response to the brutal Pahalgam attack. Taking to his social media platforms, Karanveer shared a heartfelt poem urging people to end the cycle of hatred and work towards creating a better, more peaceful world. However, his message was unfortunately misinterpreted by some sections of the audience.
Unfazed by the mixed reactions, Karanveer once again took to social media to clarify his stance. In a powerful note, he wrote, “An eye for an eye will NOT leave the whole world blind, the last person will still have one eye & we all know who that last person might be. But the real question is, would YOU rather break the chain of hate and make the world a better place? That’s exactly what the poem meant.”
He expressed deep sympathy for the victims, adding, “My heart goes out to the families of those who lost their loved ones in the Pahalgam attack. May the perpetrators face the strongest punishment they deserve. We are not scared. We are not afraid.”
He also quoted Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty, saying, “Agli chutti Kashmir mein,” reflecting a spirit of resilience and unity.
Karanveer’s mature and sensitive handling of the situation has earned him both support and criticism online. While some praised his call for peace, others questioned the timing and tone of his message. Nevertheless, the actor has been trending heavily across social media platforms, with fans largely rallying behind him.
This surge in attention adds to the momentum Karanveer has been experiencing lately. After his stunning victory in Khatron Ke Khiladi, where he impressed audiences with his fearless performances, and later winning Bigg Boss 18 with his grounded personality and strong moral compass, Karanveer’s career has seen a significant boost.
At a time when the entertainment industry is constantly looking for voices that are both talented and socially responsible, Karanveer Mehra seems to be carving out a space for himself — both as an artist and as a citizen who isn’t afraid to use his platform for change.
