Star plus most popular and one of the longest run daily show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has managed to keep its audience glued to the show all these years with its major twists and interesting tracks. It is also very popular among youngsters, the reason being the mind-boggling chemistry between the leads Karthik and Naira played by Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi.
They fight and argue just like any other couple but they also don’t miss a chance to romance each other. They stand by each other and support each other in the toughest times. Karthik and Naira, fondly named as ‘Kaira’ by their ardent fans have given real-life couples some major couple goals. Even unmarried female fans want a guy who is as loving and as understanding as Karthik. The love that Kaira shares know no boundaries.
Every relationship goes through a rough phase, same way Kaira’s relationship too had major ups and downs. In even such situations their love always prevailed. There were times when Kaira had misunderstandings and separated. In spite of their divorce, they couldn’t remain apart. There is an invisible thread that binds them together. They reunited after realizing their mistakes. Karthik stood by Naira when she underwent surgery for brain clot and took care of her. They soon remarried.
Their relationship was once again put to test when Naira lost her baby in an accident while Karthik’s sister went into a coma after giving birth to a boy. Karthik swaps the babies in order to protect Naira from getting hurt. When truth got revealed, Naira lost her memories. Karthik was determined to bring her back in his life in spite of Naira’s brother Naksh protests. They reunited again when she regained her memory.
Fate soon intervened in the form of yet another misunderstanding and before Naira could reveal she is pregnant again. A shattered Naira leaves Goenka’s house and meets with an accident and later assumed dead.
After 5 years, Destiny brought them back together again in the form of Kaira’s son Kairav. Only by this time, Karthik has remarried due to family pressure. In order to save Karthik’s marriage Naira decides to leave again with her son only to be stopped by Karthik. As much as he loves Naira, He loves his son equally and refuses to give him up. Hence the Goenka’s approach the court for Kairav”s custody.
Even though Karthik has filed for custody against Naira he could never hurt her nor he wanted to take her son away from her. He only wanted to establish his rights over his son. Someway Naira doesn’t want to separate Karthik from his son but she wanted to protect his marriage and to save him from being hurt.
