On July 3, Amar Upadhyay, who immortalized the character Mihir Virani, was spotted on the sets of the reboot. Fans welcomed him with warmth, and Amar expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response.
After 25 years, the show is being revived with the original lead duo – Amar Upadhyay and Smriti Irani – reprising their legendary roles of Mihir and Tulsi. Amar shared that shooting the first scene brought back fond memories. He described the first day as “fantastic,” adding, “Purani yaadein taaza ho gayi.”
When asked about the differences viewers can expect in the second season, Amar hinted at subtle changes, saying, “Badlav toh pure television mein hua hai. Thoda ye bhi badlega, thoda change hoga.” This suggests that while the essence of the show will be preserved, it will also adapt to the evolving television landscape.
Interestingly, the shooting was intentionally kick-started on July 3, marking the exact day the first season premiered 25 years ago. This symbolic gesture reinforces the emotional connection the makers hope to reignite with long-time viewers.
