Builder cum upcoming producer Abdul Halim Baig ( Pride Media) has claimed that City Civil court Hyderbad has stayed(ad-interim injunction) the streaming of much talked about Alt Balaji, MX Player web series, Lockk Upp as the concept is similar to his registered reality show (written by Shantu Ray and Sheershak Anand)
Lockup having Poonam Pandey,Munavar Farooqi and Nisha Rawal as confirmed inmates is scheduled to stream 24*7 from
27th Feb on both Alt Balaji and MX Player
Abdul Halim says, “I had conceived a non-fiction show titled Jail, where contestants would have to go places like orphanages as punishment to make it different from Bigg Boss.”
“I wanted to pitch the same to either tv or streaming services.”
“Before the lockdown, I was in talk with production house Endemol for a web series. During those negotiations, I had also verbally discussed my above idea casually with them.”

Mr Baig accepts that they have a right to appeal if they stream with injunction still in place it would tantamount to contempt of court.
