The episode starts with Sowmya begging Kusum to allow her to stay in the house. She pleads with each member of the Saxena family one by one. Meanwhile, Jairaj writes a note for Mangal and drops it on the floor.
Gayatri picks up the note and tries to read it. Mangal notices Jairaj signaling her to take the note, so she takes it from Gayatri and reads it.
In the note, Jairaj tells Mangal that Sowmya has fallen into their trap and that she should allow Sowmya to stay in the house.
Ishana gets ready to throw Sowmya out, but Mangal stops her and asks her to let Sowmya stay.
Kusum questions Mangal about her decision and reminds her of Sowmya’s past actions against the family. Mangal says she hasn’t forgotten and reminds Kusum that the nurse warned them they could face legal action if they don’t take care of Sowmya.
Kusum insists they are ready to face legal consequences but will not allow Sowmya to stay. Mangal argues that Adit has returned home after many years and they cannot let him be troubled because of Sowmya. Sudesh reminds Mangal that she had previously allowed Sowmya to stay when she was pregnant, but things ended badly. Mangal says she hasn’t forgotten that either. She assures the Saxena family that everyone knows Sowmya well, so no one will fall into her trap again.
Sowmya thanks Mangal for forgiving her, but Mangal clarifies that she hasn’t forgiven her—she has only allowed her to stay. She compares Sowmya to an unwanted pest they are forced to live with.
Kusum is upset with Mangal’s decision and leaves. Ishana sarcastically praises Mangal, saying she has done something no one in the house likes, and walks away.
Mangal asks Shubhi to show Sowmya her room. Sowmya thinks it is too easy to manipulate Mangal and leaves.
Adit meets Sowmya and argues with her for coming to the Saxena house with a false story. Sowmya confronts Adit for lying to her about being with Mangal. Adit says he lied because of her insecurities regarding Mangal. Sowmya admits she cannot bear to see Adit and Mangal together. She hugs Adit and tells him that no one will find out about them. Gayatri overhears part of their conversation and enters the room but doesn’t see Adit. She assumes she was mistaken and leaves. Adit is later shown hiding under Sowmya’s bed.
Mangal goes to Jairaj, who is exercising, and secretly adds extra weights. Jairaj notices and asks if she is trying to kill him.
Mangal confronts Jairaj for asking her to let Sowmya stay, saying the whole family is against her because of it. She insists she doesn’t want Sowmya in the house. Jairaj explains that Sowmya has come because she is jealous of Adit and Mangal’s closeness. He adds that now all three people she needs to watch are under one roof, and the information they gather will be crucial. Mangal asks what to do next, and Jairaj advises her to provoke Sowmya’s jealousy so she makes a mistake. Mangal agrees.
Later, Mangal drops her gold chain and pretends to be busy kneading dough. She asks Adit to pick up the chain and put it around her neck. Adit agrees. Sowmya witnesses this and becomes jealous. Mangal notices Sowmya’s reaction and realizes Jairaj was right.
Sowmya returns to her room and tears a pillow in anger. Aarav comes to her and proposes that they help each other deal with Mangal. Ishana arrives and questions Aarav. He claims he was just introducing himself after learning that Sowmya is her stepmother. Ishana dismisses this and says he doesn’t know Sowmya. Aarav remarks that Sowmya must at least be better than Mangal, but Ishana firmly states that, no matter what, Mangal is her mother. She warns Aarav to stay away from Sowmya and takes him away. Mangal overhears this and feels happy that Ishana supports her.
