The episode starts with Mangal thinking about Shanti’s words while cooking. She calls Kapil, who feels happy seeing her call. He asks how she is. Mangal apologizes to Kapil for leaving the Pehla Swad work entirely to him. Kapil says it’s fine and tells her to focus on solving her problems; in the meantime, he will take care of the business. Mangal thanks him for supporting her.
Adit arrives and questions why she is cooking with an injured foot. He asks if she has taken her medicine. She replies, “I will take it.” Adit reminds her that since she takes care of his father’s medication, she also needs to take care of herself. He tells her he placed the painkiller tablet nearby and asks her to take it. After he leaves, Kapil asks Mangal why she is taking painkillers. Mangal replies that her foot is injured, and Adit asked her to take them. Kapil tells her to be careful and ends the call.
He turns and sees Pratima there. He asks when she came. Pratima questions why he is lying to Mangal. She urges him to confess his true feelings instead of hiding behind lies. Kapil brushes off her words and leaves.
Meanwhile, Sudesh struggles to pick up a glass. As he grips it tightly, it breaks in his hand, and he screams in pain. Mangal and Kusum, who are nearby, rush over and become worried. Mangal tends to his wound and regrets placing a glass there. Sowmya watches from a distance and smirks, thinking about how she had switched the glass to stop Sudesh from drawing the tattoo mark on paper.
Later, Sowmya returns from a walk and sees Sudesh drawing with his left hand. She realizes her plan has failed, as she only injured his right hand. Frustrated, she decides to seek help from Pratima and Shanti to keep Mangal away from Sudesh—because she can’t act against Sudesh when Mangal is around.
Sowmya visits Pratima’s house with fruits and shagun items. Pratima asks why she’s there. Sowmya asks if she wants Kapil and Mangal to get married. She says that Shanti also wants Mangal to move on. She suggests an alliance between Kapil and Mangal. She urges Pratima to help make it happen.
Sowmya reveals, “I’m the bahu of the Saxena house, but Mangal is acting as one for the sake of Sudesh’s recovery.” She says Mangal wants to leave, but Kusum is emotionally blackmailing her to stay. Meanwhile, Kapil returns home and wonders whom his mother is speaking with. He decides to check.
Sowmya continues, saying Shanti knows the whole truth and wants Mangal to settle down. “Kapil’s life will be set with Mangal,” she adds. “I’ll also be happy because Mangal will be out of my and Adit’s life. Please talk to Shanti and make Mangal your daughter-in-law.” Pratima looks on thoughtfully. Sowmya offers to speak to Shanti herself and says, “We both stand to gain from this.”
Pratima replies, “This isn’t some deal we can decide on quickly. We need to know how Mangal feels.” Sowmya insists, “I stay with her 24/7—I know she cares for Kapil. She’s old-fashioned and doesn’t express her feelings easily.” She shows Pratima a video of Mangal talking about Kapil and pushes her to support the marriage. Just then, Kapil calls out for his mom. Hearing his voice, Sowmya hides. When Kapil asks whom she was talking to, Pratima lies that she was on a call. He then notices the sweets and thali and asks about them. Pratima says she ordered them for a pooja at the temple the next day and sends him to freshen up. Meanwhile, Sowmya sneaks away.
Elsewhere, Mangal is on a call with the inspector. She tells him that her father keeps drawing the same symbol repeatedly and believes it’s connected to his accident. She requests him to reopen the case and investigate who tried to harm Sudesh. She also asks him to check the drawing she sent. The inspector says they can’t proceed based solely on a sketch since Sudesh isn’t mentally stable. Mangal urges him to at least make an inquiry, and he agrees. Mangal thinks to herself that she must find out what the symbol means. Meanwhile, Sowmya—who bears the same tattoo on her hand—smirks.
