The episode begins with Akshat asking Ishana if the balloon decorations look good. Ishana agrees. Just then, Mangal arrives home and asks her children why they are decorating the house and what special occasion it is. Akshat replies, “Today is Father’s Day.” Mangal smiles and says, “Yes, your father will be happy to see this.” Akshat wonders what gift would truly make Adit happy. Ishana says Mangal won’t be able to help them since she doesn’t know Adit’s likes and dislikes. Mangal interrupts and says she will help by telling them what Adit likes. Ishana looks on thoughtfully.
Meanwhile, Pratima returns home, recalling Shanti’s words that Mangal is too traditional and won’t agree to marry Kapil. Kapil notices Pratima lost in thought and asks if something is wrong. Pratima dismisses it, saying she’s just tired. She keeps the real reason to herself and thinks, “I know you like Mangal, and I’ll make sure you two get married.”
Later, Adit arrives home. Akshat and Ishana surprise him by bursting party poppers and wishing him a happy Father’s Day. Adit is touched and impressed by the decorations and thanks them, calling the setup beautiful. Akshat reveals that Mangal helped them. Ishana adds that they also got him a gift and hands him a box. Sowmya silently fumes, wondering what new drama this is. Ishana doubts the gift choice, unsure of what Mangal has picked. But to their surprise, Adit is delighted and says, “This perfume is precious to me, and it’s not even available in the market these days.” He thanks them warmly. Akshat proudly says Mangal bought it. Then he invites Adit to cut the cake. Adit expresses a desire to celebrate with his father as well, and the kids go to bring Sudesh.
Adit thanks Mangal for the thoughtful gift and for looking after the family. Mangal replies, “This is my family too.”
Later, Sudesh and Adit cut the cake together. The family happily feeds each other cake. During the celebration, Sowmya clicks a photo of Adit, Mangal, and the kids and sends it to Pratima, who looks on silently.
Meanwhile, Shanti asks Lipika to get ready as a prospective groom’s family is coming to see her. At the office, Mangal tries to reach for a file on a high shelf, but the files start to fall. Kapil rushes in and helps her just in time. Mangal thanks him. Kapil notices her wearing mangalsutra and sindoor and questions her about coming to the office. Mangal explains she came to check the inventory list and apologizes for troubling him with work. Kapil reassures her and says, “It’s okay, and since you’re getting back with Adit Saxena, take your time and return to work once everything is settled.” Mangal is taken aback and asks him what he means.
Back at Shanti’s house, the groom’s family tells her they like Lipika. However, the groom’s mother mentions that they heard Mangal is divorced. Shanti confirms it. The groom’s mother then says they’ve also heard Mangal still lives in her ex-husband’s house and is having an affair with her boss Kapil. Shanti firmly denies the accusation, saying Mangal is only staying at the Saxena house to care for her children and father-in-law, and it’s only temporary. She warns Anita not to believe such rumors. Anita, however, says they will agree to the alliance only if a large dowry is given. Shanti gets angry and tells them to leave. Anita taunts that because of Mangal’s reputation, Lipika will never get married. Lipika breaks down, and Shanti consoles her.
Later, Pratima calls Anita to ask if the job was done. Anita confirms it. Pratima smirks and thinks, “Now that both daughters’ futures are at stake, Shanti will have no choice but to throw Mangal out of the Saxena house.”
Meanwhile, Mangal confides in Kapil, revealing that she is only pretending to be Adit’s wife for Sudesh’s recovery, as he doesn’t know about the divorce. She also says that Sowmya is actually Adit’s current wife. Kapil asks if all of this is happening against her will. Mangal says, “My wishes don’t matter anymore. The only thing that matters is Sudesh’s recovery.”
