The episode starts with Adit seeing Kapil consoling Mangal. Mangal says, “I don’t know how to repay your help of 8 lakhs.” Kapil replies, “You’re my friend, and you helped my mom so much—can’t I do this for your mom?” Mangal says, “8 lakhs is a huge help.” Kapil says, “You’re the owner of a brand; you don’t even need my help. Once aunty gets operated on, she’ll be fine.” Mangal agrees. Adit feels disappointed seeing the money.
Sowmya wonders why Adit isn’t answering her calls. She overhears Kusum telling Adit to stay with Mangal. Sowmya gets angry and walks out. Kusum says she will pray for Shanti’s health. Adit asks Kusum to come to the hospital to be with Mangal, while Sowmya will take care of Dad. Kusum says, “Sowmya is not at home, so I can’t leave Sudesh alone.”
Sowmya drinks wine and plans to destroy Mangal’s happiness. She believes Mangal is trying to snatch Adit from her.
A nurse calls Mangal inside. Shanti refuses to get operated on. The nurses tell Mangal they are unable to control her. Shanti says she doesn’t want to live. The nurse says Shanti’s heart rate is increasing, and it’s not good. Mangal asks Shanti to agree to the operation. Shanti tells Mangal she will only agree if Mangal agrees to marry Kapil. Mangal says, “We can talk about this after your operation.” But Shanti insists. Mangal runs to the Maata Rani idol. She recalls Shanti’s words and breaks down. Adit and Kapil approach Mangal and are about to touch her shoulder but stop when she says, “Leave me alone.” A nurse comes and informs Mangal that the doctor wants to speak with her. The doctor asks Mangal to speak to her mother once. Mangal prays to Maata Rani for strength and goes to Shanti.
Shanti again refuses treatment. Mangal finally agrees and says, “I’ll do what you want. My mother’s life matters to me.” Shanti says, “Whatever I’m doing is for your future.” Mangal pleads with her to get the operation. The doctor and his team take Shanti to the ICU. Mangal sees Kapil and remembers her mother’s condition to marry him. She tries to speak to Kapil but can’t.
Sowmya wakes up with a hangover. Adit comes home and calls her. She hides her face and rushes to the washroom to keep him from seeing her hungover face. Adit questions why she didn’t answer his calls. Sowmya comes out and lashes out at him. Adit tells her he was with Mangal and admitted Shanti to the hospital. Sowmya bursts out in anger at him.
Shanti tells Mangal that she saved her. Mangal tells her to rest as she just had surgery. Shanti says even Pratima is happy with the marriage, and everything she is doing is for Mangal’s future.
