The episode begins with Ishana telling Mangal, “If you really cared about us, you wouldn’t have left us for six months.” She says they’ve learned to live happily without her and questions why she even returned. She asks Mangal to leave, adding that she’s going out to eat with her friends and doesn’t need Mangal’s “stupid food.”
Mangal asks who her friends are, but Sowmya intervenes, saying Mangal doesn’t need to know and should stay out of Ishana’s life. Mangal gently requests Ishana to enjoy with her friends at home instead, as it’s not safe to go out late. She offers to order food for them. Ishana agrees reluctantly. Sowmya watches this from outside and thinks, “Mangal, you won’t be able to win the kids back. They’ll throw you out themselves.”
Meanwhile, Kapil checks a presentation and asks Adit if he double-checked the numbers. Adit confirms he has. Kapil says he’ll cross-check by calling Mangal and notices the tiffin. He takes it, and a small chit falls out. While enjoying the pancakes, Adit reads the chit Mangal had written for Akshat but misunderstands it to be for Kapil. Feeling jealous, he hides it. Kapil, still enjoying the food, asks if there was any note inside. Adit lies and says no, then leaves.
Later, Ishana’s friends arrive and praise her home and the party setup, saying it’s even better than an outside venue. They begin taking pictures. Mangal brings them drinks, but one of them accidentally knocks the tray, spilling everything. They rudely ask Mangal to clean it up. As Mangal begins cleaning, they assume she’s the maid and tell Ishana how good and obedient she is.
Just then, Sowmya arrives and sarcastically tells Mangal to clean properly. Ishana’s friends admire Sowmya’s style and tell Ishana she’s lucky to have her. Mangal feels hurt. One friend even says she wishes she had a maid like Mangal. Mangal calmly says, “No work is big or small. But it’s wrong to judge a woman just because she wears a saree.” The girls mock her and ask her to stop lecturing them. Mangal says, “Girls from good families don’t insult others based on appearances,” and walks away. Ishana’s friends feel offended and leave. Sowmya then manipulates Ishana, blaming Mangal for her friends’ departure.
Ishana storms up to Mangal and angrily calls her “Mamma.” Mangal responds, “You remember I’m your mother, yet you stood there and watched me get insulted?” She reminds Ishana that she decorated the house and did everything as a mother should, then asks, “Did you fulfill your duty as a daughter?” Mangal adds that she stayed silent only to protect Ishana from embarrassment in front of her friends, and then walks away. Ishana is left feeling guilty.
Sowmya tries to console Ishana, saying, “Don’t worry baby, I’ll take you and your friends to a nice restaurant another day.” But Ishana firmly tells her to stop calling her “baby” and asks her to leave. When Sowmya questions why she’s being treated this way, Ishana says, “You’re my aunt. Please be real,” and asks her to leave the room.
Later, Sowmya complains to Adit that Mangal insulted Ishana’s friends and upset her. She says Ishana is so hurt that she shut the door in her face. She adds, “Mangal knows everything except what her kids actually like.” Adit, thinking about the chit, becomes more confused. Sowmya urges him to tell Mangal to stay in her limits. Adit wonders what Mangal truly wants, especially since she upset Ishana and seemed to send a note to Kapil.
Adit confronts Mangal, who clarifies that he mistakenly gave Akshat’s tiffin to Kapil. She says she added extra sweets for Akshat, unaware that it ended up with Kapil and Pratima, who has diabetes. Realizing the chit was for Akshat, Adit feels relieved. Mangal then heads out to collect clothes from the clothesline as the weather turns cloudy.
Outside, Kapil sees Mangal and holds an umbrella over her. Mangal notices him and tries to speak, but Kapil says, “I know you’re in pain. Let it out—just like the rain eases the burden of the sky.” Mangal tearfully shares, “I don’t know why Ishana is so angry with me for leaving for six months. I wanted to become independent so I could take better care of my children. But what if I came back too late and lost Ishana forever?” She vows not to give up on Ishana and promises to fight for her and protect her from everything wrong. She breaks down in tears.
