The episode starts with Kapil praising Mangal and telling her that Pehla Swad has been awarded Startup of the Year. He adds, “You created this magic.” Realizing that he’s still holding her hands, he immediately lets go and apologizes. Mangal responds, “It’s great news!” Kapil then shows her a magazine that features her photo along with a full article about her success. Kusum feels happy hearing about Mangal’s achievement, while Sowmya is shocked.
Mangal modestly says, “This is our team’s success. I don’t know why they only printed my photo.” Sowmya, meanwhile, thinks to herself, Kapil and Mangal are always together and fooling others by pretending to be just friends. Kapil tells Mangal, “I’m so happy for you that I even called Mom here today.” Hearing this, Kusum quietly walks to her room.
Pratima arrives at Adit’s house. Sowmya is stunned to learn that Pratima is Kapil’s mother. She thinks, Kapil’s mother wants to make Mangal her daughter-in-law. This is great information—I can use it to my advantage.
Pratima congratulates Mangal and gives her a bouquet. Mangal says, “Let me introduce you to the person who is the real reason behind this success,” and takes Kapil with her. Adit follows them. Meanwhile, Pratima gets a call and starts speaking on the phone.
Mangal meets Kusum and excitedly shows her the magazine article, saying, “Our brand won the award!” She credits her success to Kusum, calling her a guru and seeking her blessings.
Sowmya approaches Pratima and slyly says, “Your future daughter-in-law has a good heart too. Today, you’re showing Mangal’s horoscope at the temple for Kapil, right?” Pratima looks at Sowmya and realizes from a photo that she’s Adit’s current wife. Sowmya adds, “Mangal should have given credit to you, but she’s giving it to Kusum instead.”
Pratima sharply responds, “You’re the one who broke Mangal’s marriage, didn’t you?” Meanwhile, Mangal tells Kusum, “The respect I’m receiving is actually yours too.” Kapil watches silently as Mangal gives away the credit.
Pratima tells Sowmya, “It’s fine if Mangal didn’t give me credit—but you deserve credit for breaking her marriage.” She then coldly tells her to feel jealous seeing Mangal’s success.
Sowmya replies, “Maybe Kapil and Mangal’s horoscopes match, but Adit’s and Mangal’s didn’t—and Adit hates her.” She then asks, “Why haven’t you told Kusum that Mangal is your future daughter-in-law? Kusum loves her and won’t abandon her. I hate their bond. That’s why I want Mangal to move on—so I can get rid of her completely.” She saves her number in Pratima’s phone and says, “Think about my proposal—it’s best for everyone. Call me when you decide.”
Just then, Kusum comes out and greets Pratima, asking her to sit. Mangal offers to make tea, but Kapil says, “Pratima has a doctor’s appointment, so we’ll come another time.” Pratima agrees, gives Sowmya a sharp glare, and leaves.
On the way, Kapil talks to someone on the phone, praising Mangal’s brilliance and saying he’s heading to the office to share the news. Pratima, sitting in the car, thinks that Kapil and Mangal make a perfect pair. She wonders whether trusting Sowmya to unite them is the right move.
Kapil stops at the office, and Pratima drives away.
At home, Mangal lights incense sticks in front of Sudesh’s photo. She painfully recalls her past and misses him dearly. “You gave me the strength to prove my innocence that day. I succeeded because of your blessings, Dad,” she says, crying. “I know wherever you are, you’re watching me with pride.” Kusum overhears this and becomes emotional. Sowmya approaches Kusum.
