The episode starts with Mangal entering Adit/Ashish’s house. She sees many papers scattered around and searches the house for clues. Ashish’s friend asks him who that lady is. Ashish and his friend enter the room, and Mangal hides from them.
Meanwhile, Ishana escapes from the terrace with the help of a saree and leaves. Gayatri sees Ishana and wonders what is happening and why she is leaving this way. Ashish’s friend tells him that it looks like the house has been robbed as everything is messed up. Adit/Ashish catches Mangal there and asks why she is following him, why she came there, and why she is calling him Adit. He says that he is Ashish and asks her to leave, otherwise he will call the police. Mangal agrees to leave.
Ishana goes to Aarav’s place. She sees the place beautifully decorated with “I Love You” highlighted. Aarav says it’s a surprise. Ishana asks why he lied to her if he was fine. Aarav says he heard her shouting at Shubhi, so he lied so that she would find a way to reach him — and it worked. Aarav then proposes his love to Ishana. Ishana asks how well he knows her to propose within just two days. Aarav stands up from kneeling. Ishana smiles and says he understands her without judging her. She says she didn’t expect this proposal but she is happy, loves him too, and wants to spend her whole life with him. She hugs him, while Aarav smirks.
While leaving, Mangal receives a call. She gets worried about her mother and says she is coming immediately. Adit/Ashish overhears this. A tea vendor comes and tells Adit about a gas leak at a nearby company. Adit rushes there, turns off the power supply, and saves a lady, assuming she is his mother. He comes out carrying the lady and is shocked to see Mangal there. The lady in Adit’s arms is not Kusum; she is an actor hired by Mangal. The lady leaves.
Mangal reveals that she made the tea vendor lie to him. She questions why, if he is alive, he didn’t come back to them and why he changed his identity. She says Amma had a heart attack, and till now she has been lying to her, saying that he is alive. She says he has no idea how much it hurt her to hide a son’s death from his mother, while he didn’t think about anyone. She adds that Ishana is living in trauma and her heart still cries for him. She accuses him of not caring about his responsibilities. When Adit tries to speak, Mangal stops him and tells him to leave like he did last time.
Adit asks what he was supposed to do, saying he left a letter and lost everything. He says he didn’t want to return as a loser. Mangal asks why he didn’t at least tell her the truth. Adit says that if he had told her, she would have become “mahan” again by forgiving him. Mangal says he saved himself, but she has been facing Ishana’s anger for the past five years. She says she has been living in guilt, thinking his accident happened because of her, as she had angrily asked him to leave that day. She reveals that Ishana heard everything and blames her for his death. Mangal says she did not run away from her responsibilities like he did because she does not know how to escape from duties the way he does.
The episode ends.
Precap: Lakshmi tries to stop Ishana’s marriage by pouring water on the havan kund. Mangal rushes there for Ishana. Lakshmi asks Mangal not to worry, but they are shocked to see that Ishana and Aarav are already married.
