The episode begins with Sowmya telling Adit, “I’m financing you and your family, so why are you working under Mangal?” Adit replies, “I don’t want your money as you think of me as a loser, I need an investor, and that’s why I agreed to work with Mangal.” Sowmya says, “I might have said something in anger, but please stop working with Mangal. We can look for another investor.” Adit responds, “That’s not possible. I’ve already signed the contract, and you don’t have the money to break it.” He adds that he’s just taking guidance from Mangal to start his startup. Sowmya tries to object, but Adit cuts her off, saying, “I won’t leave this work because of Mangal. She is no one to me—we’re already divorced.” He leaves, while Sowmya thinks to herself, I hate Mangal and I’ll make sure you quit this job. She furiously pushes the table in anger.
Later, Adit is on a call, assuring someone that he will reach the meeting on time. Sowmya comes to him with tea and says she wants to talk about the previous night. Adit asks if she’s there to justify her behavior. Sowmya says, “I’m ashamed of how I acted. Please don’t be upset with me. I got scared knowing you’re working under Mangal. I felt insecure, thinking you might go far from me. I lost control and doubted you, but I’m not that kind of person. I trust you.” Adit responds warmly, “All I need is your trust. I’m glad you realized that I’d never do anything wrong to you.” He reassures her not to feel insecure, saying, “I love you,” and hugs her. Sowmya feels happy and tells him to go to the office as she doesn’t want Mangal to taunt him for being late. Adit says he’ll meet her in the evening and leaves.
As Adit is about to start the car, he notices the tyre is punctured. He checks the trunk for the spare tyre but finds it missing. Confused, he wonders what happened. Nearby, Sowmya watches and recalls how she punctured the tyre and hid the stepney. She smirks, thinking, I asked you to quit the job, but you didn’t listen. Now, the job will leave you.
Adit tries to hire a cab but fails. He attempts to get a lift. Just then, Mangal arrives and offers him a ride. Meanwhile, Pratima is on a call, complaining that Kapil never does anything and is always busy. She says she wants to take the lead in his marriage. Kusum asks if Kapil knows. Pratima says she’s unsure how he’ll react, but she can’t bear it if he stops talking to her. She declares it’s her mission to make it happen and that she’s trying to understand the girl’s feelings to move things forward. Kusum agrees. Pratima wishes her son would understand and ends the call when she sees Kapil approaching.
Kapil asks what mission she was talking about and whether she spoke to Mangal. Pratima admits she sent Mangal a gift on his behalf. Kapil is shocked and reminds her how Mangal previously rejected her gift. He says, “Mangal is just my business partner. Why can’t you understand that?” Pratima insists it’s just a small gift—a ring with a letter. Kapil is alarmed and says this could create problems. He asks what she wrote in the letter. Pratima says she wrote about his feelings. Kapil warns her that Mangal reading the letter could lead to chaos, but Pratima insists she thought it through and says he’ll thank her later. Kapil, however, is upset and says she has crossed the line.
Kapil calls Jeetu and asks where the gifts for Mangal were placed. Jeetu says he kept them in Mangal’s cabin. Mangal walks into her cabin and sees a pile of gifts. She smiles, thinking how happy her children would be to see them. Suddenly, Akshat surprises her. Mangal asks how he came. Akshat replies that it’s a holiday, and since his friend’s father works there, he came along. Mangal expresses her happiness on seeing him.
Elsewhere, Sowmya calls Adit and finds out he reached the office on time, thanks to Mangal giving him a lift. She feels frustrated. Kusum tells a worker to prepare a tiffin so she can deliver it to Adit.
Meanwhile, Akshat asks if he can open Mangal’s birthday gifts. She agrees. Akshat begins unwrapping the presents and opens the one from Kapil. He tells Mangal about it. Kapil arrives at the office and learns that Mangal is in her cabin. Akshat mentions to Mangal that she has a friend named Kapil, and coincidentally, he too has a friend named Kapil who once came to his school for a lecture. Mangal tells him both are the same. As Akshat and Mangal are about to open Kapil’s gift, Kapil arrives and stops them. Akshat is excited to see his friend and says, “We were just opening your gift!” Mangal thinks to herself, I haven’t told Kapil about my past. Maybe it’s time I do.
