The episode starts with Mangal arriving at the sweet shop. The shop manager, seeing Mangal, thinks she won’t be able to handle the work. He asks Mangal to leave, saying she can’t do it. Mangal, however, requests the manager to let her try. He reluctantly agrees and takes her to the kitchen. Sowmya wonders why Mangal has come to the sweet shop and decides to check it out.
In the kitchen, Mangal notices the men working around her and feels awkward. They all laugh, doubting she’ll be able to work there. Mangal insists on trying, and the manager agrees. She attempts to lift a sack but struggles as it’s quite heavy. Seeing this, the shop manager again asks her to leave, commenting that she can’t handle the job. Mangal pleads for another chance, remembering her need to pay the school fees, and encourages herself. She then begins preparing the sweets. Sowmya sees this and calls Kusum.
Meanwhile, Karthik is shown practicing. Jia approaches him and hugs him from behind. Karthik pushes her away, asking what she’s doing and reminding her that he’s married. Jia apologizes for leaving him before and tries to reconcile, but Karthik refuses and argues with her.
Sowmya asks Kusum why she called her, then takes her to the kitchen to show Mangal working there. However, when they arrive, Mangal is no longer in the kitchen. Sowmya makes up an excuse to explain why she called Kusum there. Kusum comments on Sowmya’s behavior, gives her cooking instructions, and leaves.
The shop manager gives Mangal Rs 500 for her work and tells her she must come whenever they need her. Mangal agrees and leaves.
Sowmya wonders how she can reveal to everyone that Mangal is doing this kind of work. She overhears the shop manager praising Mangal to a colleague.
Lakshmi brings food to surprise Karthik. When she arrives, Karthik stops his argument with Jia and quickly takes Lakshmi away, hoping she doesn’t see Jia. Seeing this, Jia becomes furious, vowing in her mind that Karthik belongs to her and no one else. In anger, she breaks the guitar strings.
Karthik then asks Lakshmi what she’s doing there. Lakshmi explains that she brought him food as a surprise. Karthik tells her this isn’t the place for surprises, explaining it’s someone else’s studio. Lakshmi, understanding, apologizes and leaves.
Shanti shares the good news with Kusum that Lipika’s pre-engagement ceremony has been scheduled. Kusum congratulates her and calls for Sowmya, asking her to make tea for Shanti. Shanti, however, says she doesn’t want to drink tea made by Sowmya, joking that she might poison it. While Shanti is speaking to the sweet shop on the phone, Sowmya pretends to be fetching water glasses and discreetly steals Shanti’s phone before leaving. Mangal arrives, and Shanti tells her about Lipika’s pre-engagement ceremony.
Sowmya then calls Ram Ji Halwai to cancel Shanti’s order and places it instead with Chandu’s Halwai, thinking it would be ironic if Mangal ends up making sweets for her own sister’s pre-engagement ceremony.
