The episode starts with Mangal banging on the door but getting no response. She notices that her phone has no signal. Meanwhile, Akshat is shown waiting for Mangal in his dressing room. Pratima arrives at the colony party and tells Kusum that her would-be daughter-in-law is also coming. Kusum says, “I’m waiting to meet her.” Pratima adds that Akshat is also eagerly waiting for the event and is very excited.
Akshat’s friend asks if his superhero costume hasn’t arrived yet. Sowmya says it has. Akshat replies, “My mom will bring it.” Sowmya insists, “Your mom hasn’t come, so let’s go ahead and perform the skit.” Akshat refuses and says she can’t take his mother’s place. Adit steps in and tells Akshat to apologize to Sowmya for hurting her feelings. Akshat says, “My mom taught me to say sorry when I make a mistake—so, sorry.” Then he leaves. Sowmya pretends to be hurt, and Adit consoles her. She says, “I’m doing everything for your kids, but they still don’t see me as their mother.” Adit reassures her, saying that one day Akshat will understand her care.
Meanwhile, Mangal tries to break the door but fails. She starts feeling breathless and looks for her medicine, but it falls out of reach. In pain, she tries to grab her inhaler.
Akshat begins crying for Mangal. Kapil finds him and asks what happened. Akshat says, “Mom said she would come to perform the skit, but she didn’t show up and isn’t answering my calls.” Kapil tells Akshat not to lose hope before even trying. He shows him a ring and says, “This ring has special powers—it’s the reason I’m strong. Now you need strength, so wear it.” Akshat feels encouraged and puts it on. Kapil tells him to get ready in his costume. Akshat says he’s playing Ganapati, and his mom was supposed to play Parvati Maa. Kapil says, “I’ll help you get ready. You’re Ganapati, so you must look your best.” Akshat resists at first, but Kapil offers him donuts. Akshat thanks him and eats them while Kapil helps him get dressed. Akshat enjoys the moment. Adit arrives with food for Akshat and feels happy seeing him cheerful, but is disappointed to see Kapil bonding with him.
Mangal manages to grab a stick and retrieve her inhaler. She uses it and feels better. Akshat tells Adit that Kapil helped him get ready and says he looks cute. Adit sends him to show his costume to his friends. After Akshat leaves, Adit confronts Kapil, asking what he’s trying to prove by bringing donuts and dressing Akshat. Adit reminds him, “This isn’t your office where you can do whatever you want. I’m here to take care of Akshat.” Kapil counters, “Where were you when Akshat was in boarding school? I heard you never even visited him. I’m just his friend and was trying to cheer him up. You should be happy seeing your son smile—but it seems you’re not.” He adds, “You don’t need to tell me what to do.” Kapil wonders where Mangal is trapped, as she’s always punctual.
Mangal continues to look for a way out. Meanwhile, Sowmya tells Adit, “Akshat is waiting for his mom. Since we don’t know whether Mangal will show up, I’ll perform with him—I don’t want him to get hurt. Mangal doesn’t care whether Akshat wins or not, but I do. I can’t see him in pain.” Mangal prays to Maata Rani for help. She pulls at the window bars, and as they begin to break, she escapes through the window.
