The episode starts with Karthik telling Jia that he is not interested in marrying her. He asks her to stop dreaming, saying he doesn’t even want to see her face. Jia says it doesn’t matter whether he loves her or not—one day, he will accept her. Karthik calls her mad and tells her to stop imagining that he’ll wear those clothes and pretend to be happy about marrying her.
Jia reminds him of the deal between them. She says, “You’re an artist, you act for a living—don’t make me angry.” Karthik responds, “Do whatever you want. I can’t act anymore.” Jia asks him to rethink his decision.
Jia then comes downstairs and instructs the workers to throw out the luggage. Gayatri asks whose luggage she’s referring to. Jia replies, “It’s yours. I’m about to throw your entire family out of this house.” Sudesh questions how she can evict them from their own home. Jia says, “This is my house now—you’re all bankrupt. If I had married Karthik, the house would be yours. But that’s not happening. So get out and live on the streets.” She orders the security to throw Karthik’s family out.
Karthik holds Gayatri to support her. Jia taunts him, saying, “I’ve thrown your family out because you refused to marry me. Didn’t you tell them you’ve become a beggar with no money? You know the truth, yet you still refused. Now watch what I can do to them.” Karthik feels helpless, imagining the situation. Jia snaps him out of it and asks him to wear a red kurta and get ready. He agrees. She hugs him and says, “One day you’ll love me.”
Later, Karthik comes downstairs dressed for the occasion. Lakshmi, disguised as a pandit, arrives with another pandit to find out why Karthik agreed to marry Jia. Jia asks the pandit to perform the pooja and then fix the wedding date. Lakshmi suggests they match the horoscopes first. Gayatri gives the kundalis to the pandit. Lakshmi secretly swaps her own kundali with Jia’s.
The pandit checks the horoscope and says the match is excellent. Jia confidently says she already knew that and asks him to write down a shubh muhurat (auspicious time). The pandit writes it and gives it to Jia. Jia notices that the names written are Lakshmi and Karthik. She questions the pandit. He says he got Lakshmi’s kundali. Gayatri says maybe she gave Lakshmi’s kundali by mistake. Jia then asks the pandit to check her actual horoscope with Karthik’s.
The pandit checks and announces that Jia and Karthik’s horoscopes do not match. Jia says she doesn’t believe in horoscopes. The disguised Lakshmi says that horoscope matching is important and asks Karthik to close his eyes and picture the person he truly likes. Karthik sees a flash of Lakshmi and her betrayal with Raghuveer in his mind.
He opens his eyes and says he doesn’t care about the horoscope—he will marry Jia. Just then, a spark from the sacred fire falls on Karthik’s kurta. Lakshmi immediately rushes to extinguish the fire with her hands, saving him. Everyone panics. In the process, Lakshmi’s fake beard comes loose on one side. Jia notices it’s Lakshmi in disguise and is shocked.
