The episode begins with Lakshmi praying to God. She then talks to Gayatri before going to Karthik’s room. There, she takes Karthik’s hand while he is unconscious and makes him apply sindoor to her maang. Just as she is about to leave, Karthik wakes up and stops her. He calls her a good person and tells her that her wishes will be granted. However, Lakshmi thinks to herself that she does not want this marriage to happen. She then leaves.
Meanwhile, Jia scolds the decorators for not meeting her expectations. Umesh wants to confront Jia, but Gayatri stops him, saying it could be risky for Karthik. Jia overhears their conversation and sarcastically tells Umesh to listen to his wife. She then declares that she will get ready and come to the mandap as Karthik’s bride.
Jia gets dressed in her wedding attire, while Lakshmi reminisces about her own wedding and becomes emotional. Jia notices and asks Radha if she is crying. Radha replies that Jia is lucky to have found the right person and that she is genuinely happy for her.
Just then, Jia receives a call from producer Dev Sinha. She is overjoyed to learn that a top director wants to speak with her. Radha advises her to focus on her wedding, but Jia sends her away and takes the call. The director informs her that his lead actress has backed out, and he wants to cast her as the female lead. Excited, Jia agrees to meet him. When he invites her to the studio for a look test, she asks if she can come immediately for the mock shoot. He agrees.
Meanwhile, Karthik’s shirt button comes undone, and he seeks Lakshmi’s help. Lakshmi asks Karthik why he looks sad on his wedding day. Karthik replies that he should be happy since he is marrying Jia, the love of his life, but he doesn’t understand why he feels uneasy. Lakshmi suggests that he might be rushing into this marriage without fully understanding his own emotions. Karthik agrees, saying he might be overthinking things and decides to stop thinking and go ahead with the wedding. He then leaves.
Jia tells Prema about the opportunity she got from Dev Sinha and says she needs to attend the audition. Prema is shocked and asks if she has lost her mind. She reminds Jia that she did everything to win Karthik, and now, on her wedding day, she wants to leave for an audition. Jia insists that this is the biggest opportunity of her life, and if she gets selected, she will become a top heroine. Prema asks how she plans to handle Karthik. Jia replies that she will talk to him.
Jia imagines herself asking Karthik to postpone the wedding so she can take advantage of the film opportunity. In her dream, Karthik gets upset and calls off the wedding. This worries Jia, and she starts thinking of a way to handle the situation.
Just then, Lakshmi tells Jia about a scene in a TV serial where an elder sister makes her younger sister sit in her place at the mandap until she returns to complete the wedding, without the groom even noticing. Jia gets an idea and thanks Lakshmi. She then convinces Radha/ Lakshmi to sit in her place at the mandap while she leaves for some important work, promising to return before the wedding rituals begin. Radha initially refuses but eventually agrees after Jia insists. Jia then leaves.
