The episode begins with Adit confronting Mangal, asking, “Since when have you been in love with Kapil?” He accuses her of being involved with Kapil for the past six months and questions her integrity. Shocked, Mangal asks how he could speak to her in such a manner. Adit continues, saying that she’s now the owner of the entire KB Group worth ₹3000 crores, and that office gossip about her and Kapil’s affair has been going on for a long time — yet he was the fool who chose not to believe it. He even taunts her by asking if she experienced her “pehla swad” because of Kapil. Mangal, deeply hurt, questions how he could speak so lowly to the mother of his children. She defends herself, saying that if men are allowed to remarry and make decisions, then women should be allowed to do the same. She adds that she has her own reasons for agreeing to marry Kapil, and she’s doing it for her mother. “My God knows the truth,” she says. Adit, still bitter, tells her she can marry whoever she wants, but warns her not to tell the children — he will. Mangal refuses and says she will speak to the kids in her own way. Adit angrily says she has lost that right, and tells her to ask Kapil to stop acting like a father to his kids and to stop bribing them with gifts. “Their father is still alive,” he reminds her before storming off. Sowmya also quietly leaves the scene.
Left alone, Mangal breaks down in front of Maata Rani. She remembers the hurtful accusations from Adit and Kusum. With a heavy heart, she removes her nuptial chain and places it in the pooja thali. Tearfully, she asks the goddess why she has been pushed into such a painful situation. She says that on one side is her mother and on the other, Amma Kusum, and she doesn’t know whom to choose or what is right. Crying at the goddess’s feet, she finds her mang wiped clean as water drips into her hairline, erasing the sindoor. At that moment, Sowmya enters and mockingly asks why she is crying. She reminds Mangal that it’s a happy occasion — her engagement — and says she has brought a gift. Mangal asks to be left alone, but Sowmya insists on showing it. She opens the box and reveals a sindoor container, saying that until now they both shared this sindoor, but no longer. “Now we can each have our own,” she says smugly and congratulates her, calling her “Mrs. Mangal Kapil Bhatnagar.” Mangal returns the sindoor box, tells her to think about herself, and asserts that she will take her own decisions. She firmly warns that no matter where she is, her eyes will always be on Sowmya, and if she mistreats her children or Adit’s parents, she will not spare her. With that, Mangal walks away.
Meanwhile, Sowmya goes to a frustrated Adit. She reminds him that she had warned him about Mangal’s affair. Adit says he’s aware and doesn’t want to discuss it. Sowmya accuses Mangal of being selfish, claiming she didn’t consider the kids or Amma before leaving for “Pehla Swad.” She insists that Mangal targeted Kapil because he has everything — and now, her next target is the children. She warns Adit that Mangal will try to take the kids away from him. Adit, angry and protective, says, “They are my kids,” to which Sowmya replies, “Yes, but Mangal came back just to snatch them.” She asks how he plans to tell the children about Mangal’s upcoming marriage. Adit asserts, “I am their father. I won’t let anyone take them from me.”
Later, Mangal is seen covering the children with a duvet. She resolves to speak to them herself and explain why she decided to marry Kapil, but only after Adit has had his say.
At Kusum’s house, Pratima arrives with shagun items. She asks the servant, Kamala, if Mangal is home. Kamala replies that she isn’t. Pratima instructs her workers to place the clothes inside. Kusum arrives and immediately scolds Pratima. Pratima accuses her of being selfish — that she agreed to Adit’s second marriage but refused to accept Mangal’s, just because she wants Mangal to care for her bedridden husband. Kusum fires back, accusing Pratima of wanting to use Mangal to fix her own broken home and heart. Pratima admits it’s true but says, “You’ve lost Mangal, and now we’ve got her.” She walks away triumphantly.
Meanwhile, Ishana comes home with her friends and sees the designer lehengas and jewelry laid out. She says she has never seen such luxurious lehengas before. Just then, Sowmya arrives. Ishana asks if the outfit is hers. Sowmya covers her with the dupatta and shows her the embroidery — Mangal’s name is written on it. Ishana also sees Kapil and Mangal’s names together. Shocked, she asks what is going on. Sowmya drops the bombshell — “Your mother is getting married to Kapil.” Ishana is left stunned and angry.
