The episode begins with Mangal requesting Shanti to take her medicine. Shanti instead pleads with Mangal to get engaged to Kapil, saying, “Please give me this happiness.” Mangal becomes emotional and starts crying.
Meanwhile, Kapil searches for Mangal. Pratima notices that he isn’t ready yet. He says he thought he heard Mangal calling him, so he went to look for her. Pratima informs him that Mangal is getting ready in her room and urges him to get ready too, assuring him he can talk to Mangal for the rest of their lives.
Mangal sits lifelessly in front of the mirror as Shanti and Lipika help her get dressed. Pratima assists Kapil in getting ready. Shanti tells Mangal, “My heart says Kapil will give you all the happiness you deserve. He will treat you like a queen, and I’ll be happy seeing you both together.”
Meanwhile, Adit recalls Mangal’s words that he has no right to question her. He also remembers Sowmya saying that Mangal will take the kids away. Feeling strange, he tells Sowmya that he wants to talk. Sowmya replies that she has a headache and needs rest. Adit laments that he has no one to share his feelings with.
Kapil finally sees Mangal and tells her he can’t take his eyes off her. He confesses his love and hugs her. They both feel happy together. Suddenly, Adit comes out of his imagination in shock. He angrily looks at the engagement invitation and throws it away in a fit of rage.
At the venue, the photographer clicks pictures of Kapil. He notices Mangal entering and smiles at her. Their colleagues comment that Kapil seems lost in Mangal. Pratima proudly introduces Mangal to her friends and blesses her. She makes Kapil sit beside Mangal. Kapil compliments Mangal, and she thanks him. When he asks if she’s worried, Mangal notices Lakshmi and rushes to her.
Lakshmi arrives at the engagement and greets Mangal warmly. Mangal becomes excited upon meeting her. Later, Lakshmi meets Kapil, who tells her that Mangal always talks a lot about her and makes a friendly comment.
Shanti then calls Lakshmi and asks if she won’t greet her aunt. Lakshmi politely asks Shanti about her health, and Shanti says she’s fine. Shanti hugs Lakshmi and says, “Today is a special day for Mangal. Make sure she stays happy.” She warns Lakshmi to behave like a guest and not ruin anything, delivering the message with a slight taunt.
Lakshmi, sensing something off, asks Mangal why she doesn’t seem happy and whether she’s being forced into the marriage. Mangal is about to respond when Akshat arrives, interrupting her. He warmly greets Mangal and Kapil. Ishana also joins them, calling out “Mom.” Mangal feels overwhelmed seeing Ishana and recalls her previous hurtful words. Ishana apologizes for hurting her, and Mangal hugs her, crying. Kapil feels happy witnessing this moment, while Pratima looks disturbed. Akshat joins in the emotional moment. Shanti silently thanks God for lifting the burden from Mangal’s heart, as her children have accepted the engagement.
Meanwhile, Pratima’s friends mock her for choosing a woman with two kids for Kapil. Other employees discuss how grand the engagement is and wonder how much bigger the wedding will be. They note that everyone has come—except Adit.
Elsewhere, Adit drinks on the roadside. Back at the venue, the photographer asks Mangal and Kapil to sit close for pictures. Kapil calls Akshat to sit between them and invites Ishana to join too, but she ignores him.
Adit sees their family group photo and bitterly thinks he never imagined Mangal could go this far. Lipika, Lakshmi, and Ishani happily dance to Prem Ratan Dhan Payo at the engagement. Shanti notices Mangal looking dull and pulls her aside. She says, “Everything is going well, and so many guests have come. If you look this sad, it won’t look good.” Mangal replies, “I’m trying, but it’s not working.” Shanti encourages her to try harder, saying, “This is going to be your life.”
Later, Pratima invites Mangal and Kapil to exchange rings. Just as Kapil is about to put the ring on Mangal’s finger, someone throws a stone at him. He drops the ring, which lands near Adit’s feet. Kapil picks it up and sees a drunken Adit standing there. Akshat cheerfully says, “Glad Dad came!” but Ishana quickly sends him away.
Adit loudly asks someone to record the moment, saying Kapil must fall at his feet to ask for Mangal’s hand. Kapil asks him to leave, saying he’s drunk. Adit grabs his collar and insists he’s in his senses. Everyone is stunned. Kapil removes his hand and asks him to leave again. Adit sarcastically apologizes for spoiling the party. He adds, “You’re number one in everything—except in being a husband. You’re husband number two. I’ll always have the number one rights.” He mocks Mangal, saying she’s old-fashioned and believes in one husband for life.
Seeing Lakshmi there, Adit taunts her, “Why are you silent? Aren’t you going to sing your sister’s praises?” He sarcastically says Mangal is finally getting a caring husband like Kapil and touches Mangal’s hand, apologizing for not appreciating her earlier. He mocks her again for trapping Kapil within six months. Kapil loses his temper. When Adit misbehaves with Pratima, Kapil steps in to stop him.
