The episode starts with Adit insulting Pratima, calling her a scheming woman. Kapil loses his cool and slaps Adit, shocking everyone. Mangal questions Kapil about his action. Kapil responds, “Didn’t you hear how Adit insulted you and mom? I can’t tolerate anyone speaking like that about my mother.”
Pratima supports Kapil and says she would have slapped Adit herself if Kapil hadn’t done it. She instructs the security to throw Adit out. Mangal intervenes and says she will talk to him. She calmly requests Adit to leave without escalating the situation further.
As Adit turns to leave, he slips and injures himself by hitting a chair. Ishana and Mangal rush to help him. Mangal notices that he’s bleeding, and Ishana pleads with her to do something. They help Adit stand, and Mangal places a handkerchief on his wound. Lakshmi consoles Ishana, assuring her that Adit will be fine. She takes the handkerchief from Mangal and offers her help. Ishana and Lakshmi take Adit outside. While leaving, Adit keeps turning back to look at Mangal.
Guests begin gossiping, wondering why Mangal is marrying Kapil if she still cares for Adit. They say Kapil will always remain her “husband number two.” Shanti comments that Adit came intentionally to create a scene. Just then, Akshat enters and asks why the dance has stopped. He inquires about Adit, and Mangal explains that he felt unwell and went home with Lakshmi and Ishana.
Pratima then urges Kapil to put the engagement ring on Mangal’s finger before the auspicious time ends. Mangal hesitates, struggling to extend her hand. Lakshmi arrives and supports her, while Shanti gently guides Mangal’s hand forward. Kapil and Mangal exchange rings, and everyone showers flower petals on them. Pratima blesses the couple and invites the guests for food.
Later, Mangal is seen crying in her room, recalling Adit’s hurtful words. Lakshmi comes looking for her and asks why she’s crying on the day of her new beginning. Mangal says she’s confused, as she always saw Kapil only as a friend, and it’s hard to accept this as a fresh start. Lakshmi reminds her that she always wished for a husband who’s like a friend.
Mangal confesses that she only wanted to live with her kids and that she was pressured into the marriage by her mother. She admits she doesn’t know how to move forward. Lakshmi comforts her, saying everything happens for a reason, and perhaps this marriage will bring happiness. She encourages Mangal to stop worrying about others and start thinking about herself. She assures her that Kapil is a good person and life with him will be kind. She asks Mangal to trust in Maata Rani, who won’t let anything bad happen. Mangal says she sounds very mature. She asks about Lakshmi’s well-being. Lakshmi replies that she’s fine and needs to leave. Mangal agrees and tells her, “Even though we’re apart, we’ll always be connected by heart.” They hug, and Lakshmi leaves.
Meanwhile, Sowmya grows suspicious, wondering how Ishana ended up with Adit if she had gone to the engagement. Kusum treats Adit’s wounds, and both she and Sowmya question Ishana about what happened and who’s responsible for Adit’s condition. Ishana replies that it was Kapil.
Kapil notices that Mangal is distracted and walking off without listening. He gently holds her shoulder and asks where her mind is. Mangal replies that she’s lost in thoughts. Kapil asks if she’s heading to Adit’s house and offers to drop her, saying he won’t let her go alone. Mangal says she’ll manage and turns to leave. Kapil stops her and says, “We’re engaged now. Let me help you. I have that right, don’t I?” He adds, “I know you’re upset with me, and that’s why you’re avoiding eye contact—because I slapped Adit.” Mangal looks on silently.
