The episode starts with Mangal wondering where Ishana has gone.
She calls Ishana’s number and sees that her phone is at home. Adit says Ishana’s friends don’t know anything about her whereabouts. Kapil checks the terrace and confirms Ishana isn’t there. Sowmya suggests Ishana’s disappearance might be due to Adit insulting her during Mangal’s engagement and expresses concern, saying she hopes nothing has happened to Ishana. Mangal tells her to shut up. Kapil says this isn’t the time to argue and leaves to check at Ishana’s school.
Mangal worries about Ishana’s whereabouts and is anxious that Kapil hasn’t called either. She decides to seek help from the police. Just as she is about to leave for the police station, she opens the door and finds Ishana standing there in tears. Mangal asks her where she went and why she’s crying. Ishana apologizes for not staying with her during the engagement. Mangal says that what Ishana did was right but questions why she suddenly left home. Ishana says she felt regret for behaving badly with her and reveals she has a surprise.
She gives Mangal a gift, saying she bought it with her three months’ pocket money. She had gone to Mangal’s office to give it but didn’t find her there. She asks Mangal to open it.
Mangal opens the gift and finds a dupatta. Ishana says she tore Mangal’s dupatta earlier, so this is to make up for it. She asks Mangal to wear it for her wedding. Mangal agrees but says Ishana didn’t need to go all alone to the office. Ishana promises not to do it again and apologizes. Mangal accepts her apology.
Just then, Mangal receives a call from Kapil, who tells her that Ishana is not at school. Mangal informs him that Ishana has returned home and went to the office to surprise her with the dupatta as a gesture of apology. Kapil says that’s really sweet of her. Meanwhile, Ishana enters her room, tears up a photo of Kapil and Mangal from a magazine, burns Kapil’s picture, and throws the ashes in the dustbin. Mangal calls out her name.
Pratima asks Kapil about Ishana. Kapil says she is fine and shares that he initially thought Mangal was being forced into the marriage, but now things are going smoothly since Sudesh and Kusum have given their blessings. He adds that even Ishana has agreed to the marriage. Pratima says it’s good but expresses concern about Mangal staying in that house. Kapil tells her not to worry and says he now believes Mangal wants to marry him. He confesses that he likes her and reminds Pratima that she knew about his feelings even before he did. Pratima smiles knowingly. However, she secretly hopes Kapil never finds out that Mangal is being forced into the marriage, fearing he might refuse.
Later, Mangal smells something burning in Ishana’s room and asks her about it. Ishana lies, saying it’s from her chemistry project. Mangal warns her not to try such things at home. She then confesses to Ishana that she is marrying Kapil due to pressure from Shanti. Unbeknownst to Mangal, Ishana secretly records the confession on Mangal’s phone. Mangal shares that she never thought about marrying Kapil and only saw him as a friend, but agreed to the wedding to save her mother. Ishana says she understands everything now. When Mangal goes to prepare food, Ishana decides to send the recording to Kapil. However, Mangal takes her phone back. Ishana wonders how to retrieve the phone, knowing the confession is saved there.
Meanwhile, Adit struggles to teach Akshat mathematics. Akshat says he isn’t able to understand it. Mangal advises him to use the BODMAS rule and explains the problem clearly. Akshat calls her a genius, and Adit thanks her.
Mangal is about to leave for the office when Ishana asks her to stay home so they can spend time together. She uses this opportunity to secretly steal Mangal’s phone. Mangal refuses, saying she has important work and will return after finishing it. Ishana agrees. Once Mangal leaves, Ishana sends the recorded confession to Kapil from Mangal’s phone. Kapil receives an audio message from her.
