With the entire country under lockdown due to pandemic, a lot of people made most of their time honing new skills. With an aim of educating and creating awareness about the ongoing pandemic and ensuing situation prevailing in the world, 11-year-old child prodigy Veer Kashyap from Vizag put his time to good use. This weekend on BYJU’S Young Genius Veer will be seen indulged in new board games developed by him with guest Mouni Roy on the show.
Veer used his boredom time to design and develop an educational board game to spread awareness and honour Corona warriors. Named, ‘Corona Yuga’, Veer designed this game with materials lying around his house. The game reflects the quarantine period, the importance of using hand sanitiser, social distancing, wearing masks etc. Excited with the invention, Mouni couldn’t resist herself from trying her hands on the board game. In the episode Veer will give Mouni an excursion on the game and both will be seen having fun while playing it along.
Commenting on his appearance on the show, Mouni shared, “I’m thrilled to be a part of BYJU’s Young Genius and meet these exceptional talented kids. Veer’s passion and dedication to develop ‘Corona Yuga’ at such a young age is truly commendable and motivating at the same time. The way he is working towards making a difference in society and convey an important message in his unique style is quite notable. I’m sure Veer will be an inspiration to many other youngsters.”
Veer’s game went viral after he posted a video of the same on YouTube. Veer is bestowed with Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar in 2021 for his excellence in the field of Innovation.
