Picture time Digiplex sets up portable theatres in the interiors of India where a good cinema watching experience is still a dream.
After a much awaited collaboration with the Government of Arunachal Pradesh and IPR, Arunachal, Five such Digiplex theatres have been installed in Arunachal.
Hon’ble Chief Minister, Shri Pema Khandu and Hon’ble Minister, Home and Inter State Border Affairs, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Parliamentary Affairs, IPR & Printing, Shri Bamang Felix, inaugurated the Picture time Digiplex at Itanagar today and graced the event with a flag off ceremony.
Mr. Sushil Chaudhary, founder and CEO, Picture Time, was seen giving a demo to the esteemed dignitaries on how the digiplex operates.
Hon’ble Chief Minister, Shri Pema Khandu says, “This is an initiative taken by the IPR and tourism department as well. The Government’s thought process behind this was that entertainment should not just be limited to metro cities but should also be accessible to the rural areas and these mobile theatres would be helpful with not just providing entertainment but also be useful in education purposes.
This is also a great means to keep the people in the villages connected with the Government and they could easily be aware of all kinds of Government plans and policies through these theatres.
There is a craze for Bollywood films here too and with these portable theatres we could bring newly released films to the villages. I hope our vision to help empower people in the interiors/rural areas will succeed and everyone benefits from this set up. We have ordered five such theatres and will send them to various districts of Arunachal. Within a year we would know what impact it has had on people and shall accordingly tread further. This is a great initiative by the IPR Department.”
Picture Time Digiplex, a mobile digital movie theatre company, that operates with full Covid 19 precautionary measures, also took Salman Khan’s Dabangg 3, Ajay Devgan’s Tanhaji to the interiors of Maharashtra, and Satish Kaushik’s Kaagaz to the interiors of Uttar Pradesh that received tremendous response is yet again living up to its aim of not just taking newly released films to the interiors of this country but also being a means to provide education, virtual communication and infotainment. After delivering five Digiplex theatres in Arunachal, Picture time will be setting up its theatres in other districts of Arunachal as well.
“Picture time’s aim is not just to provide entertainment and a good cinema watching experience to people in the interiors of this country but to also be a means to provide education and help everyone grow.
