The episode starts with Manva’s mother coming to the chawl. She happily asks Pushpa how Chirag and Manva agreed to the marriage. Pushpa says it just happened. Manva’s mother says they are very happy and that Manva’s father is also coming tomorrow. She adds that they are eagerly waiting for the wedding. Pushpa says the engagement is tonight and they need to make arrangements. Manva’s mother asks Manva if she is happy, and Manva agrees.
Pushpa goes to Dilip’s house and tells him that their son’s engagement is tonight and that he should attend it for his son. Dilip says he will contribute to the wedding and bear half of the expenses. Pushpa says there is no need and asks him to keep the money for himself. Dilip says he can arrange the money and does not want others to mock him. He also says that he does not want Bapodhara near his son’s functions.
Chirag goes to the terrace and hugs Shanaya, mistaking her for Manva. Shanaya says that it is her. Chirag immediately steps away. Shanaya says she understands that he mistook her for Manva. She reminds him that she helped him confess his feelings to Manva while preparing for her board exams, but he never even thanked her. Manva arrives there. Shanaya teases them, saying that Chirag was eager to hug Manva and mistook her because of the dupatta. She asks them to spend some time together and leaves.
Chirag tells Manva that she seemed tense in front of her mother and asks if everything is okay. Manva says that the wedding arrangements are happening so quickly that she feels overwhelmed. Chirag says they can postpone it if she wants. Manva says there is no need and that she is just a little nervous.
Pushpa tells Deepti that Dilip wants to bear half of the wedding expenses, but she does not know how he will arrange the money. She also mentions that he wants Bapodhara to stay away from the wedding. Bapodhara arrives and tells Pushpa that he will take full responsibility for Chirag’s wedding expenses. Pushpa says Dilip also wants to contribute. Bapodhara says he does not want Dilip to be present at Chirag’s engagement or wedding. Pushpa reminds him that Dilip is Chirag’s father and cannot be excluded. Bapodhara refuses to listen and leaves. Shanaya comments that it is difficult to change both Bapodhara and Dilip.
Dilip tries to arrange money but fails. He calls Suri and learns that he has gone to Australia. Suri’s assistant informs him that no money can be issued until Suri returns. Dilip becomes frustrated and later drinks at a bar.
Pushpa performs aarti for Manva and Chirag. Susheela thanks Shanaya for convincing Manva to agree to the marriage. Pushpa asks Susheela about Bapodhara. Susheela says he has gone to the market and will return soon. Pushpa asks Deepti about Dilip, but Deepti says she does not know where he is. Meanwhile, a drunken Dilip struggles to walk properly on the road.
Shanaya calls her father and asks him to bring a gift for Manva and Chirag in the evening. Pushpa arrives and asks Shanaya to gift a patoda to the couple, saying that her father’s gift will be from his side. Shanaya points out that the patoda is Pushpa’s gift. Pushpa tells her to learn how to make a patoda and gift one to her in the future. Shanaya agrees.
At the engagement ceremony, Bapodhara tells Susheela that he is glad Dilip is not there. Susheela asks him to keep quiet. The pandit asks the bride and groom to exchange rings, and they do so.
Just then, a drunken Dilip arrives and calls out Bapodhara’s name. He asks why Bapodhara is there when he should not be. Bapodhara replies that Dilip is the one who is not allowed and asks him to leave. Dilip asks Pushpa to decide whom she wants at the function. He tells her not to worry about money because he will take care of it.
Pushpa asks both Dilip and Bapodhara to stop arguing on Chirag’s big day. Dilip says he made a mistake by changing himself for his children. He accuses everyone of treating him like a loser because he has no money. He declares that he will become Dharam Raichand again, earn wealth, and one day buy the chawl.

Precap: Chirag questions Shanaya about why she is wearing Manva’s engagement ring. Shanaya removes the ring and gives it back to Chirag. Later, Manva asks Shanaya if she has started developing feelings for Chirag.
