Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak never took off

Color’s show that Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak(QSQT) might next face the axe once the IPL drought phase ends. This reincarnation (how original) story never worked from day one. It opened at a poor  0.8 and now has fallen even further to 0.5. This low number is unacceptable.

QSQT suffered major defects from day one. Its casting needed to be more satisfactory. Raj’s complex character deserves a far better actor than Karam Rajpal. The lead girl playing a double role, Tripti Mishra, also has nothing special to write home about.

The writing is good, but there is a need for fresh and engaging content. The audience has been there, done that, and they’re looking for something new. Their feedback is crucial for the show’s success, and it’s time to listen to them.

The producer( BBC and Mrinal Jha) will suffer huge losses if they shut shop soon; the makers have little time to effect a miraculous turnaround.

It is time for desi writers to eject the standard theme and think outside the box. The attrition rate is not funny.

The audiences have wisened up and are not ready for substandard fare.

Colors, too, need to go back to the drawing board and offer something that resonates with the new thinking. I guess the housewife is now getting pricy.

Ideally, content should be limited so the story has meat. But when your content could be better, the audience hedges to invest even a minor attention span.

QSQT also fails in the category of coherent screenplay, and it needs to engage more. The story has also sped due to rating crises.

If the end is well and neigh near, hope, the makers give it a satisfactory ending rather than abandoning it mid-stream.
