It’s often been muted that Hollywood stars enjoy gambling in their free time. And, as you will expect, it’s the same for stars from Bollywood too. Those working within the industry undoubtedly have the time spare and the finances to enjoy gambling as and when they feel like it, but which Bollywood stars love gambling the most?
Aamir Khan is one of the most famous and well-decorated Khans in the whole of Bollywood. He’s starred in both Bollywood, and Hindi hits, including Rang de Basanti, 3 Idiots and Lagaan, and is a multiple-time award winner. As well as having a passion for acting, Khan is also said to love gambling, and one type in particular. Poker is said to be Khan’s game of choice, and he prefers to play via reputable online casinos, which makes a lot of sense given his position as a recognised actor not only in Bollywood but around the world too.
Akshay Kumar, as far as career earnings are concerned, is out there in front of most in Bollywood. He’s undoubtedly one of the richest actors in the industry, with some estimating his net worth exceeds $60 million. And, with having so much cash in the bank, it’s no surprise that he’s made no secret of his love of gambling. Card games are Kumar’s thing, and many report that he doesn’t lose too often, which can’t be ideal for the casinos he plays at, either online or offline. It’s also suggested that for his Mum’s eightieth birthday, Kumar took her to Singapore to check out the casinos there.
Shilpa Shetty is a woman who has done it all, from acting to modelling and beyond. In many ways, she’s Bollywood royalty, especially after appearing in hit movies such as Dhadkan, Baazigar and Main Khiladi Tu Anari. Married to Raj Kundra, who is also said to love gambling, Shetty has become renowned for visiting Las Vegas Casinos, with the actress having a penchant for card games. She regularly plays rummy, poker and solitaire and is also said to have a passion for the IPL, which she also places bets on from time to time.
Harman Baweka is probably most famous for the hit movie Love Story 2050, but he’s also played roles in other big films too alongside the likes of Priyanka Chopra. As well as being a respected actor, Baweja is also a director and producer too, which has cemented his place in Bollywood. Unlike a lot of other Bollywood stars who may just have a passing interest in a card game, Baweja has a serious passion for poker and has competed in some events over the years. Up to now, he’s made appearances in both the IPC 10K Freezout and the IPC 30K tournament, placing in both and showing he has the skills to pay the bills in Bollywood and at the poker table.
