Rushad Rana: I feel secure that I’ve got my first dose… those having doubts, fear against vaccination should keep them away and get vaccinated

Rushad Rana has finally got his first jab on June 1 and shares that the experience has been wonderful. He got it from Parsi General hospital at Breach Candy.

“There is one guy who is a social worker in our community Mr. Tamtan Dusmasia, he got it organised for us. I along with my best friend and his wife went and took it. The experience was wonderful, it was done in a very nice and organised manner, it was a very smooth process,” he says.

Talking about the after-effects of the first dose, he adds, “I did feel slight pain in my arm, dizziness and drowsiness after a couple of hours but then slowly I started feeling fine. Then in the night I had fever and body pain, but the next day things were alright. Now I am perfectly fine.”

The Anupamaa actor shares that he heaved a sigh of relief for being able to get the vaccine. “I absolutely feel more secure now that I have got my first jab. I have been trying for quite some time now but was not able to book a slot. It makes you feel a little secure especially in these times when the virus is spreading like a wild fire and vaccines are our only hope,” he shares.

He continues, “I feel everyone should get vaccinated because that is the only way ahead for us. In Europe, the US now people are roaming around without masks because they have got vaccinated. So I think that is the only way forward. It is the only cure we have to protect ourselves from Covid-19. So people should keep all fears and notions against the vaccine away and take it.”
