By Gossips TV : Sumit Singh has reacted to ongoing speculation about her exit from Colors TV’s *Dr Aarambhi*, clarifying that she has not chosen to leave the show. The actress, who plays Dr Manmeet, addressed the rumours after reports suggested she would be replaced.
Speaking about the development to tellychakkar, Sumit said, “I haven’t quit the show. In fact, I was quite happy with my character Dr.Manmeet and the way it was panning out. However, it was the makers call to replace me. As far as I know, it is a creative call. So far, Manmeet is portrayed as quite a strong character. However, the upcoming track will focus on her vulnerable and weaker. I am told that since people connect with me as a strong and independent doctor, the makers believed that it was only best to replace me.”
She further revealed that the decision came as a surprise to her. “I wasn’t informed prior about the replacement. In fact, it was only on my last working day that I came to know about the new development. I have been receiving a lot of messages asking me about my decision to quit the show, however, I want to tell everyone that I haven’t quit Dr. Aarambhi, it is a creative call by the makers.”
Sumit also shared the emotional response on set. “A lot of people are upset with the development. Even Aishwarya was crying and got emotional when she came to know about my exit. We had developed a similar bond like Aarambhi- Manmeet in real life.”
The upcoming episodes will now introduce a new face as Dr Manmeet.
