By Gossips TV : Actress Shilpa Shinde has responded to the criticism and trolling she has faced after admitting that the sexual harassment allegation she had once levelled against Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain producer Sanjay Kohli was false. The actress addressed the controversy through a video shared on social media, stating that she was prepared for the backlash and had no expectations of support from anyone.
Speaking about the reactions, Shilpa said, “I usually don’t read the comments because I already know the kind of messages my fans leave for me.” She further claimed that a PR campaign was being run against her and added, “There’s a PR working against me. All the reactions that followed, I expected people to have strong opinions. But I would just say that everyone eventually gets the results of their actions.”
The actress maintained that people were judging her without understanding the full context. Referring to comments about her personal life, she said, “Some are overly concerned about my life and personal choices. They are commenting that I’m not married and asking how I will get married after this. But I think they should focus on themselves instead.”
Explaining why she chose to speak now, Shilpa stated, “I didn’t do it for money or to get work. I didn’t have to talk about this today. I had already returned to the show after 10 years and could have spoken about it back then if I wanted to.” She added, “The truth is that I was carrying a lie, and I could no longer live with it.”
Recalling the difficult phase she went through, the actress revealed, “I know the battle I was fighting at that time, and that person also knows that I placed the blame on him. I am sorry.” She further shared, “I was in such a difficult state of mind that thoughts of ending my life crossed my mind.”
Concluding her statement, Shilpa said, “I don’t care because I’m not expecting support from anyone.” She emphasized that speaking publicly was her way of sharing her truth and finding peace of mind.
