Sumit Singh’s Ghum Hai Kisi Key Pyaar Meiin’s acting was far from satisfactory.

By Anil Merani: When the news of potential changes in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin’s cast first surfaced, it sparked a wave of speculation. The initial buzz suggested a complete overhaul, with the entire cast, sans Bhavika Sharma, being replaced. However, the latest update from the production house (Cockcrow & Shaika Entertainment) reveals a more selective approach. Only the male lead, Shakti Arora, and the negative lead, Sumeet Singh, are set to be replaced. The names of Hitesh Bharadwaj and Kaveri Priyam are now circulating as potential replacements, adding a layer of mystery to the upcoming changes.

While a lot has been written about the possible reason (High per day and creative issues) for Shakti ‘s  exit, not  much is known about why Sumit was also axed from the show?

According to our sources, Sumit’s departure was due to her inability to meet the production’s expectations with her acting. Her performance was deemed unsatisfactory, leading to her replacement.

In the first season of Ghum, Aishwarya Sharma’s performance was a strong counterpoint to Neil Bhatt and Ayesha Singh. However, in this instance, Sumit’s portrayal fell short, failing to ignite the necessary tension as the negative lead.

Unfortunately, it seems that Sumit’s professional struggles were not the only challenges she faced. She was also involved with a key male actor of the cast, which further complicated her situation. This personal turmoil, combined with her professional setbacks, must have been a difficult time for her.

Sumit is a divorcee with a child.

Ghum was a major break for Sumit. Had she delivered, she would have gone places. Now, she will have to go back to the drawing board. It might be tough for her to get such a big break pronto.
