Gorgeous and versatile actress Lim Ji Yeon who has impressed the viewers with her performance in the dramas “The Glory,” “Lies In My Garden,” “The Tale Of Lady Ok” and movies “The Obsessed,” “The revolver” and more may be starring in a new rom-com fantasy drama!
On June 17, media sources reported that, according to industry insiders, Lim Ji Yeon has been cast as the female lead in the upcoming SBS fantasy rom-com “Brave New World”.
In response to the report, a representative from Lim Ji Yeon’s agency Artist Company shared that the actress has been offered the role of female lead in ‘Brave New World’ and is currently reviewing the offer.
“Brave New World” is an upcoming romantic comedy which revolves around the love-hate relationship between Shin Seo Ri, a wicked woman from the Joseon Dynasty and Cha Se Gye, a ruthless modern-day chaebol. The series will be helmed by Han Tae Seop who is known for his drama “Cheer Up”.
Lim Ji Yeon is offered the role to play Shin Seo Ri, an unknown actress who becomes possessed by the spirit of a notorious woman from the Joseon era. She was once a high-ranking concubine, but was labelled a seductress who shook the entire nation and sentenced to death by poison. Now transported to the 21st century, the spirit begins a new life inside Shin Seo Ri due to which her personality takes a drastic change.
Filming of the new drama “Brave New World” is expected to begin in the second half of this year, with the premiere slated for first half of 2026.Stay tuned for more updates!
