The craze for Korean Dramas in India has seen a splendid rise for the past half decade. From Boys Over Flowers to Crash Landing On You, people have enjoyed a wide range of Korean Dramas according to their preference. With people always craving for something new and interesting plots, Korean Dramas offer people what they want in a neat platter. Their short and simple execution is one of the main reason for masses to move towards them. With all that said, OTT is the best streaming platform to present people with the best shows available. Here we bring to you some of the ongoing Netflix shows, that could make you go from super sappy to incredibly addictive while you swoon over the characters too.

Alchemy of Souls :

   

This on going Korean Drama stars Jung So Min (Mu Deok / Nak Su), Lee Jae Wook, (Jang Uk) and Hwang Min Hyun (Seo Yul) in the lead roles. The story is set in a fictional country called Dae Ho. It follows the story of an elite warrior named Nak Su whose soul accidentally gets trapped inside the weak body of Mu Deok. The series is divided into two seasons with the first season having 20 episodes out of which 11 of them were aired. The shooting for the second season is in process which comprises of 10 more episodes.

Alchemy of souls narrates the story of a powerful sorceress trapped inside a blind women’s (Mu Doek Yi) body. Mu Deok Yi is a servant to a man from a prestigious family who needs her help to change his destiny. Hailing from a noble family, Jang Uk holds an unpleasant secret about his birth. Jang encounters Doek Yi and as twisted their fate is Deok Yi becomes her servant but also secretly teaches him to fight. Seo Yul comes from the noble Seo family who seems to be perfect from his appearance to skills. Go Hwon is the crown prince of Daeho. Nak su performs the forbidden alchemy of soul in order to reach her goal of getting rid of the higher ups.

We can’t wait to witness the comic turn of events between Jang UK and Mu Deok Yi as they surpass the plotting and political corruptions to reach their goal. Its yet to be witnessed whether Nak Su would be able to change her fate despite having her own set of fights.

  • Extraordinary Attorney Woo

This show deals with a unique concept of an autistic lawyer with an IQ above 160 with outstanding memory. The only drawback about the lead is that she has low emotional intelligence and poor social skill. The show stars Park Eun Bin (Attorney Woo) in the lead role while Kang Tae Ho (Lee Joon Ho) and Kang Ki Young (Jung Myung Soek) plays pivatol roles.

Attorney Woo being a new bie at a top law firm and a person with autism spectrum, manages to take challenges in court room with her extraordinary IQ power. With each episode passing by, the show focuses on each case per episode that could bring out the difficulties faced by Woo during her cases. It also makes the audience emotionally addictive to the cases in each episode.

We are yet to witness whether Attorney Woo manages to solve further cases in the upcoming episodes. Audiences are curious to witness how the simple minded Lawyer who goes only by facts gets herself entangled with the emotional mess of the cases.

Cafe Minamdang

This is an interesting story of a fraudster turned former criminal profiler who along with his allies runs a cafe with an ulterior motive. The show stars Seo In Guk (Nam Han Joon) in the lead role while Oh Yeon Seo (Han Jae Hee), Kwang Si Yang (Gong Soo Cheol), Kang Mi Na(Nam Hye Joon) and Kwon So Hyun(Cha Do Won) plays the pivoted roles.

Nam Han Joon is a former criminal profiler who later turned out to be a fraudster. He disguises himself as a fortune teller and runs a cafe alias fortune teller shop Minamdang. He with his partners Nam Hye Joon and Gong Soo Cheol lures rich customers with his smooth speaking skills and his attractive looks. They help the customers solve their problems and earning a huge sum in the process. Soo Cheol runs a private detective agency while Hye Joon is Han Joon’s younger sister and a brilliant hacker. Along with them is Han Jae Hee who’s a righteous detective with situations getting herself entangled with Nam Han Joon.

It will be interesting to watch the relationship dynamics changes between a fraudster and a straightforward detective along with a look into the problem of the customers of Nam Han Joon. The show has aired only 8 episodes and we are yet to witness the further development in the story.

The above listed shows are completely contrast to one another with each dealing with a different genre and concept. Alchemy of Souls deals with a fantasy genre, Attorney Woo comes out as a courtroom drama lastle, Cafe Minamdang falls in the thriller genre with a tint of love and emotion.
