By Anil Merani: Renowned TV actor Dalljiet Kaur has expanded her horizon with a new venture. With an impressive repertoire of 20 TV shows and several short films, she has ventured into travel Vlogging.
” In the first YouTube episode of MY SOUL IN MY SUITCASE, my son Jaydon and I had an exhilarating time in Goa. I’m thrilled to debunk the misconception that Goa is solely a beach party destination. It’s a treasure trove of culture and history as a former Portuguese colony,” Dalljiet shares with infectious enthusiasm.
Dalljiet is committed to releasing fresh episodes of MY SOUL IN MY SUITCASE every week. “My bags are packed for the next six months. I’m not ready to reveal the full itinerary, but it will include both Indian and overseas destinations,” she assures her audience.
Dalljiet is committed to demystifying travel to India for Westerners. She promises to provide authentic information about travel costs to ensure you don’t get taken for a ride.
What inspired you to take up travel Vlogging?
“Travel and happiness: I want to check out unexplored parts worldwide. I have been to Goa several times before, but I never saw it from the eyes of a vlogger. You can check out Several local exhibitions about Goan history, and quaint old colonial bungalows, plus these guys have maintained old forts quite well.”
Regarding the financial model, Dalljiet says, “Understanding that YT takes time to amortize, I have a financer on board encouraging me to go out.” She refused to give out more financial details.
“In the long run, I wish to have my travel show on a significant OTT platform. “added she
But for now, I am happy with my current set-up. I am putting into practice all I have learnt about camera, drone and editing during my acting stint.
My team is impressed with my knowledge. I am keeping them on their toes.”smiles shes
Shifting to acting, Dalljeit says that one of her earlier shot web series is being converted to a film, which will have a theatrical release”. It will do well as I get a chance to do a lot of performances. I can’t give out more details. Let the producer make the relevant announcements.”
I will wait for its release before deciding on more acting assignments, but I prefer the web over TV, given its limited time commitments.” added she
Talking about her new glamorous avtaar on Instagram, she says, “I have always done western and Indian look photoshoots. I don’t have a problem going bold if shot aesthetically. I will not want to do anything, which Jaydon and my parents will have an issue with.” ended she.
