Erica Fernandes is an incredibly talented actress of Indian Television currently working on her second project on Indian TV. Apart from Hindi Television career, Erica has also been seen in a number of South Indian films in Telugu, Kannada and Tamil languages. Not stopping here, Erica also has a successful modeling career. She took part in the Femina Miss India 2012 beauty pageant. This Karnataka born actress chose to model and acting as her prior interest and working really hard in the same field. With time, she grew famous and noticed by directors as a great actress and she got offers from Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi lm and Television industries.
In 2014 she got four movie offers in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi languages. It was indeed one of her best and busy year. She was seen in Ninnindale, Indian Kannada romance, comedy, drama film directed by Jayanth C. The film had a talented cast and a gripping story with Puneeth Rajkumar and Erica Fernandes in the lead roles. Later in the same year, she was offered with a Hindi film, Babloo Happy Hai with a huge star cast featuring Sahil Anand, Erica Fernandes, Sumit Suri, Amol Parashar, Preet Kamal, Anu Choudhury, Reyhna Malhotra and Parvin Dabas in pivotal roles. This film was her Bollywood break she was waiting for. Again in the same year, she got to work on a Tamil film for the second time in her career list. She has featured in Virattu a Tamil thriller film. The film stars T Kumar’s son Sujiv and Erica Fernandes, while Pragya Jaiswal and Manobala appear in other pivotal roles. She was also seen in Galipatam, a Telugu romantic film with stars Aadi, Erica Fernandes, and Kristina Akheeva in the lead roles. Fernandes ended the year with this movie.
Buguri is an Indian Kannada language film starring Ganesh, Richa Panai and Erica Fernandes in the lead roles. This was her project for 2015.
2016 was the year for Erica Fernandes as she got featured in her first Hindi Television show, Kuch Rang Pyaar Ki Aise Bhi, Beyond Dreams Entertainment Pvt Ltd which aired in SET Sony. She played Dr. Sonakshi Bose opposite Shaheer Sheik, handsome hunk of Indian Television. Her acting and performance were praised and cherished by fans a lot. She gained more fans and followers from that show. She successfully completed two seasons comprising of 400+ episodes in that show. She bagged three awards for the show including two which she shared with Shaheer Sheik for the best Jodi on screen. There have been speculations about the alleged relationship between Erica and Shaheer have been doing the rounds, ever since their hit show, Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi, where the couple had played the lead. Clearing the air Erica spoke up saying, “Shaheer and I were good friends. We shared great chemistry because of our off-screen rapport. It’s important to enjoy a comfort level with your co-actor. It is not true that we were in a relationship, but I don’t deny the friendship. I would love to hang out with Shaheer even now, but I am busy shooting.” Later Shaheer also talked about this issue but still, there are comments favoring their relationship gets circulated. In 2017, The Times of India ranked Erica in 4th Most Desirable Woman on TV. Again on the same year, she was featured in another Tamil film which has thriller genre starring Erica in the lead role.
In 2018, Erica was picked for Ekta’s ace show Kasautii Zindagi Ki season 2 in the lead role opposite handsome hunk Parth Samthan. It will be her first show with Ekta and in Star Plus. Erica is doing a commendable job as a Bengali girl. She also played a Bengali girl before in Kuch Rang Pyaar Ki Aise Bhi as Sonakshi. It is something Erica is trained with. Erica is playing Prerna Sharma in the show.
Apart from movies, Erica runs a youtube channel with her name where she posts videos about makeup tutorials and fashion videos. She owns a jewelry store on Instagram, where she provides jewelry pieces designed by herself. She also designed clothes and likes to play the keyboard. She is indeed a bunch of talents to praise of. Her Instagram feed is filled with aesthetic stuff which one needs to take a look for sure.
Apart from her acting and modeling career, Erica is such a sweet and amazing person in real life which makes fans heart warm. She loved dogs and to show her love for her dog she even got her left wrist tattooed by a small dog paw. She’s a passionate dog lover with owning 16 pet dogs. On her right wrist, she got a cross-like image tattooed.
Very less known facts are that Erica loves dancing and she was also a student of Shiamak Dance Academy under Shaman Davar.
