Uorfi Javed fears not getting a committed partner due to her bold image!

By Anil Merani: Love her or hate her, but you can’t ignore Uorfi Javed. This big-ticket actor/influencer has arrived because of her outrageous sartorial choices, Instagram posts, and stories.

After impressing one and all with her Bigg Boss OTT 1 journey, this actress has just now been featured in an Amazon Prime reality show, Follow Kar Lo Yaar, which gives a sneak preview of her life.

At first, I wondered whether it would be interesting enough to hold my attention for nine episodes. However, I was engaged and wanted to watch more.

Here, being part of the media. I must admit that I agreed there would be editing, but what is shown is for real eg, her clashes with her family, a blind date gone wrong and brand deals going awry ( I have watched episode 6 episodes so far )

What grabbed my attention was the boldness with which Uorfi shows her seeking a bo*b job, wanting to get wet for her partner and hoping that something is happening to her vagina when seeing a guy.

Society is still not ready for women who are confident with their sexuality.

Uorfi ‘s boldness extends to the entrepreneur option she wants to manufacture intimate wear, i. e., nipple covers.

On the flip side, I find it difficult to believe that she has not had s*x for the past five years in our industry. Such things are prevalent.

Yet I get her fear that her image of being in fewer clothes will prevent her from getting a committed life partner.

Uorfi also depicts another common celeb quirk, i.e. cribbing about living hand to mouth. How can they afford swanky pads, high-end cars, designer threads, etc?

A dysfunctional family is another common celeb problem. Successful Uorfi wants to control her siblings, but they oppose her domination. Generally, siblings, too, wish to ape their known brothers/sisters but find it challenging to carve a separate niche.

Also, the stepmother treatment, like when Uorfi travelled business class to her home town of Lucknow, her sibling flew cattle class, leading to further discord.

I support Uorfi’s desire to see her mother get a second go at life.

Uorfi had a very tough childhood, and her father never really cared.

Many girls who rebel come from significantly suppressed backgrounds; hence, they cross societal red lines to get noticed.

It was also good to notice that Uorfi consulted a psychologist. Many in the industry have mental health issues, which, if left to rot, can have disastrous consequences.

I am sure a lot of conservative folks will get very offended, and Uorfi will get trolled, but I guess she must be instead expecting it

I must admit that Urofi dares to reveal her inner feelings here, for I am sure several other female influencers, too, must have been approached for the above concept. It is common in Indian OTT to copy Western formats, so a desi adaptation of Keeping Up with the Kardashians was always on the cards.

Uorfi hopes this series will help net her more prominent brands and give a fillip to her acting career. She would love to star in big OTT series and films (Love Sex and Dhoka 2).

The makers (Fazila Allana and Kamna Menezes)have ticked all the shock value boxes and must be confident to get a second season. We wonder what stunts Uorfi will pull in season 2 of Follow Kar Lo Yaar.
