Shatrugna is ready to go to fight with Lavanasura. Ram calls him to give him a powerful arrow which Vishnu had used against some demons. Ram says that he is giving him this weapon because he may need it to defeat Lavanasura. He recommends using it only in case of life and death since this weapon is very destructive and could hurt lots of people. He explains Shatrugna that power should be used only in the quantity needed. Ram blesses Shatrugna before he takes the arrow.
After giving him the arrow, Ram wishes Shatrugna to win the battle. He suggests him to get Valmiki’s blessings while going to Mathura. He also recommends him to keep his soldiers and people of his reign pleased and happy and to stay in front of his army like their father had taught. Shatrugna asks how he can stay in that reign only. Ram says that he has seen how many sacrifices a king has to do and if the people of Mathura won’t let him leave from there, that would be his real victory which will please him.
Shatrugna leaves with his army of soldiers to fight Lavanasura. In the evening, Shatrugna and his army stop near Valmiki’s ashram and Shatrugna says that he will go to meet him while they make arrangements’ for the night.
GautamiMaa tells Valmiki that Van Devi is in pain. Valmiki says that the delivery time is about to come. He take water and prays and then asks GautamiMaa to give it to Van Devi to release her from pain. After GautamiMaa leaves, a disciple of Valmiki tells him about Ayodhya prince Shatrugna and his army gathering around the ashram and putting flags of Ayodhya reign everywhere. Valmiki is happy to hear that Sita is about to give birth to the babies and all this is happening at the same time. He asks his disciple to bring Shatrugna inside.
The disciple takes Shatrugna inside the ashram. Valmiki asks Shatrugna to take seat and asks him if everything is fine in Ayodhya. Shatrugna tells him that Ram asked him to come to him to take blessings since he is going to fight Lavanasura, the demon king of Mathura who eats rishimanye and tortures them. Valmiki gives him blessings.
Just then a little kid comes and says that Van Devi has given birth to a baby boy. Another little girl comes and says that Van Devi has given birth to another baby boy. Valmiki says that it is such a surprising thing that a Suryavanshiprine is here and two Suryavanshi have born too.
Valmiki tells Shatrugna that these babies are Suryavanshi so he is like an uncle for them. He asks him to give blessings to the babies since their father is not there. Shatrugna says that it would be an honor for him. Valmiki says that it would be an honor for the babies too since Ayodhya prince who is going to become Madhura King as well is there to bless them.
Shatrugnadoes the ritual putting tilak on the two babies. Valmiki asks Shatrugna to hold the first born in his arms and says that his name will be Kush. He gives the name “Luv” to the second baby. Valmiki asks Shatrugna to bless the two kids. Shatrugna does that and gifts a chain he was wearing to the kids to Luv and another one to Kush. Valmiki smiles.
The two little girls rush to Sita and tell her that Shatrugna did ritual for her kids. Sita gets surprised. Valmiki comes there and tells her that Shatrugna gave blessings to the babies and he has given them the names of Luv and Kush. Valmiki tells Sita that when their birth happened, Ayodhya flags were all around the ashram since Ram asked Shatrugna to stop here for the night while going to Madhura. He also tells Sita that Shatrugna made Luv and Kush wear the chains. Sita is grateful to him.
Valmiki leaves. GautamiMaa goes to take ghee for Sita too after recommending the little girls not to leave the babies and Van Devi alone. After she leaves too, Sita looks at her two babies lying next to her lovingly and caresses their heads. She is very happy and forgets her pain seeing her Luv and Kush. She looks at the chains Shatrugna gave to Luv and Kush. Sita joins the hands of the two babies and asks them to greet their father. She lips “Swami”.
At the same time, Ram wakes up. Lakshman asks him what happened. Ram says that he felt like Sita is calling them. Lakshman says that Sita might be in some difficulties. Ram says that Sita can’t be in any difficulty and tells Lakshman that it seemed like she wanted to give a good news. Hearing that, Lakshman says that he only good news could be that she gave brith to Ayodhya prince. Ram smiles and says that it is possible.
The next morning Valmiki gives blessing to win to Shatrugna who is about to leave for his journey to Madhura. A little girl stops Shatrugna and gives him a flower from Van Devi. Sita is hearing them from her hut. Shatrugna asks who is Van Devi. The girl tells him that she is the mother of the two babies. Shatrugna asks them to tell Van Devi that he will keep the flower during war.
The girl puts two more flowers on his feet saying that these are from the two babies who wanted blessings from their uncle. Shatrugna says that one day they will even be able to defeat their uncle. Sita smiles and blesses him raising a hand towards him from far. Shatrugna leaves.
Shatrugna gives some recommendations and orders to Senapati. On the other Lavanasuraenters in his court and is welcomed grandly with dance and music. Then he asks to bring the prisoners. They are few Brahmin. Lavanasura says that it is forbidden to practice any kind of religion in his reign since he is the only God. One of the Brahmin says that his ego is talking in him and his time to die is about to come.
Lavansura gets enraged and orders his soldiers to kill him but he refuses to be killed by them. He sits down and says a mantra after which he gets surrounded by fire and then transforms into flowers. Lavansasura gets shocked. Then he orders his soldiers to put the other Brahmin in prison. He evilly laughs.
Shatrugna stops with his soldiers near another ashram where he is welcomed by the devotee staying there. Shatrugna tells him that Ram has sent him to protect him defeating Lavanasura. The devotee suggests him to know the enemy’s strength and weak points first. He tells Shatrugna the story of Rajha Mandhata who decided to challenge Indra Devta after defeating all the kings of the world. IndraDevta appears in front of him and tells him that he has not defeated all kings of the world since he hasn’t defeated Ravan, king of Lanka, yet.
