Will producers fight shy of casting Paras Kalnawat lest he bad-mouths them too?

By Anil Merani| Paras Kalnawat has set the cat among the Anupamma pigeons by talking about the alleged toxic charged atmosphere, for which he claims to have proof.

The first thing is the timing. Why would Paras talk about it now, months after he quit the above Star Plus show for a short-lived Jhalaka Dikhla Jaa journey? Since then, he has been doing Kundali Bhayga and is set in his career.

He deliberately stoked the fire by answering as he did, knowing it would create a stir.

And Nidhi Shah, who played his co-star in Anupamma, responded angrily. Paras then went on to call her a liar and said she said anti-him stuff to please certain people.

If we take what he is saying at face value, it would appear that the atmosphere on set is not healthy, but because it is top running show, no wants to upset the Apple cart.

Producer Rajan Shahi refused to comment so did Sudhanshu Pandey.

Having many talented actors (Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna) around means ego clashes and elephant memories, a recipe for disaster

Ideally, it is better to sit and talk it out rather than make the whole unit uncomfortable.

Paras is also right when he says actors will quit if given a better option, but that will happen on any set. He added that even producers would drop an artist if they got a better replacement.

We don’t know the absolute truth for one on set in talking about mood and not wanting to further muddy the waters.

Will such revelation affect the atmosphere on set, affecting output?

On the other side will other producers avoid signing on Paras lest he bad-mouths them later?
