The episode starts with Sunny telling Rishita that they should make sure Dev doesn’t know that Dhruv died eight years ago. Sunny intentionally says this while seeing Dev coming toward them. Dev overhears their conversation, feels devastated, and leaves.
Sunny then tells Rishita that they should inform Shristi that Dev overheard the news about Dhruv’s death. Rishita agrees.
Vaani sees Dev walking out of the hospital and goes outside to look for him. Dev walks listlessly on the road. Vaani notices that Dev is about to be hit by a car and rescues him just in time.
Vaani asks Dev what happened and why he left the hospital. She notices that he is emotional and tries to calm him down, asking him again what happened. Dev sees Shristi and calls for her.
Vaani places Dev’s hand in Shristi’s. Shristi asks Dev if he is alright. Dev asks why she hasn’t told him the truth about what happened to Dhruv. Shristi explains that everything happened suddenly and that they weren’t able to save Dhruv. Dev asks if she also means he wasn’t able to save his son. Shristi tells Dev that he tried his best. Dev becomes emotional thinking about Dhruv and asks how he died. Shristi tells him she will explain later and urges him to return to the hospital for treatment.
Dev comes back to the hospital with Shristi and sees his interview, realizing how rude and arrogant he has become. He comments to himself that he has become so arrogant even after being unable to save his son.
Shristi tries to comfort Dev, but he asks her to leave him alone. Girish asks Shristi to give Dev some time alone. She agrees and leaves.
Vaani asks Girish whether Dev will be able to overcome this pain again, as it took him eight years to recover from it before. Girish comments on the matter.
Sunny tells Rishita that it is good that Dev has learned about Dhruv and that they are all here to support him. Rishita says that once he gets better, she will make his favorite carrot cake. She later leaves.
Sunny calls a hacker and tells him that he needs to change a name in the medical report on the computer. The hacker agrees.
Pratibha asks Raunak if he has been able to determine the cause of Aman’s vomiting and other symptoms. Raunak says no and suggests a few tests, such as blood tests. Aman refuses to take injections.
Aman runs and sits beside Dev. Dev talks to him and learns that Aman’s father grows vegetables at home. Dev takes a hair sample from Aman, making up a reason for doing so. He tells Raunak that Aman’s father is using pesticides on the vegetables and asks Raunak to test the hair sample for food poisoning. Raunak agrees and leaves.
Shristi tells Girish that they cannot reveal to Dev why Dhruv died, as he cannot handle the truth.
Dev takes Vaani and leaves. He notices that she has been injured while saving him, so he applies ointment to her wound. Dev asks Vaani about her relationship with him, given that she risked her life to save him and comforted him. Vaani lies, saying she is just his right-hand person, recalling Girish’s warning that they shouldn’t shock Dev, as it could affect his recovery. Dev thanks her, and Vaani leaves.
Vaani later tells Girish that while Dev might not remember her, his heart does, and she comments on this.
The episode ends.
