The channel has developed a reputation for disrupting successful shows with abrupt time slot changes, and the latest to fall victim is Jamai No. 1. Despite performing better than several prime-time shows, the serial has now been shifted to the 7 PM slot – a move many viewers and industry insiders are calling a recipe for disaster.
This isn’t the first time Zee TV has made such a risky change. Popular show Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye, once a channel topper, was moved to an early slot, resulting in a steep decline in viewership.
