deewangi dekhi nahi kahin is ready with their next titled ” Country Mafia
” Due to release on Zee 5 on a huge scale. Keeping these shows in Mind Balendu Dixit speaks to Us on the
company ideologies and the vision he has for Gold Harvest Film 1. Please tell us a little about your production house and the work done so
far. We are the 40’s group who had been together for the last 30years 😊 and the most common think amongst us was the love for cinema. Gold Harvest Film
is a LLP having their presence in Delhi, Mumbai and Dubai. We are a team of 4
friends from different walks of life coming together to achieve a common goal
i.e. creating good cinema #creatingreelmoments with Deepak Gupta a businessman
from Delhi, Romit Dasgupta an Angel Investor and a serial Entrepreneur, Shamit
Kalra belongs to a Business family and a businessman too and Balendu Dixit is a
Legal Professional. We started our journey into the entertainment business by way of
acquisition of various regional content doing business of close to ₹500cr.
After which we Co-produced Qubool Hai 2.0 which was a ZEE5 release in 2021 and
also Raktanchal Season 2 released this year. Earlier than this we produced a TV
serial named ‘Aisi Deewangi Dekhi Nahi Kahin’ which reached a a TRP of
2.1 for a 7:30pm show on Zee TV. Romit in his individual capacity had earlier
produced a regional Bengali Movie called Aborto. the next due for release this
month is Country Mafia which is produced by Gold Harvest Film and is releasing
on ZEE5 premium. 2. Your next is due for release now on Zee5 throw some light on it. Yes. Country Mafia is a heartland story of cross border illegal
trade of liquor between Bihar (dry state) and UP commonly called as Diyara in
local language. It’s a tale of illegal liquor mafia and revenge. We have
an ensemble star cast with Satish Kaushik, Ravi Kishan, Anita Raj, Anshumaan
Pushkar, Soundarya Sharma, Ihana Dhillon, Gurpreet Bedi, Pooja Bisht, Aditya
Kumar, Ajay Chaudhary and Gaurav Bajaj playing important characters in this web
series. For now we will keep it to this information rest let the audience
experience it when it releases this month on ZEE5 3. What is the road map for GHF and what next to offer the audiences? We have just completed our first schedule in London for a movie and
soon after the release of Country Mafia will resume the second schedule in
India. We are also currently in the pre-production for a web and two other
movies which should go on floor in the summer of 2023. 4. How this Gold Harvest Film first begin? Well. Honestly it all began over a phone call that too at night
which meant very less chances of the idea seeing the light of the day, you know
what I mean 😉 but little did we know
that the conversations there on amongst us would take this shape and here we
are with 3 web series one TV serial of more than 200 episodes 1 movie old and
raring to go on to our next many 😊 5. Is it difficult to make a name in the industry amongst so much
competition? I personally feel if you don’t have competition it would not bring
the best out of you. The zeal to perform dies, having said that it is indeed a
tough road to get into this business especially in the times when you have so
many mediums amongst which OTT taking the prime spot but if you look at the
glass half full then I see that as an Opportunity. But one thing is for sure
this business is like gazing at the stars on a full moon light but it’s the
pulse of the audience blending with good content and intellect that you prepare
yourself to land safely. You have kickass content good talent on board and
decent money then you are the competition! 6. Where to next? Are films on the offing to? Next as I said is a movie that is under production followed with a
web series and two more movies for now. We are currently reading a lot of
content as we are a new production house so there are many budding writers who
have got in touch with us and where we have liked couple of the content and
have invested ourselves with them for developing it and creating a few bibles
which than later be pitched to various Platforms or studios. Purpose is to
create a content library and invest in it completely as we believe content is
made on paper first, camera and anything there on is just the tech that shows
you what was written. 7. As a new production house what are the hiccups you have faced to make
your projects? I would not call it as hiccups as you face challenges in every new
business that anyone starts regardless of it’s genre. As you need to invest
time for your baby to stand walk run and speak for themselves, same is for the
business. In the entertainment business I would say one should first take
experience as now there are ample opportunities to be an EP with a good
production house create a good team and then if you have the right connects and
financial backings one can start smoothly with a few bumps here and there. But
I will strongly suggest to do your homework as there is a lot that’s riding on
a producer. 8. What’s the dream for GHF that you have? Excellent Content and equally excellent Profits.
