The episode starts with Vihaan saying to Ridhima that she must give him half of the property and only after that he will give her the papers and sign the application in which he affirms that he is he only. Ridhima tries to get out of the net trap but Vihaan reminds her that she will be in double trouble if she goes out and tells everyone that he isn’t the real Vansh and Dadi might suicide. Ridhima recalls Dadi threatening to take her own life. He says that this trap cannot be broken since it is very strong. He adds that she brought him there to defeat Kabir but she cannot defeat him. He leaves.
Ridhima thinks that she brought Vihaan to save her family from Kabir but he turned out to be a bigger evil than Kabir. She wonders what to do.
The next morning Vihaan threatens to burn the papers. Ridhima asks him to go ahead since it has no value for her. She makes him notice that she hasn’t signed the papers yet. She says that she knows the family will leave her and might even send her to jail but that doesn’t mean that she will let him go easily: one statement by her to the police saying that he was involved in the whole planning and was even getting fee for his work, then he will end up in jail too. She says that there are two players in the game and they will lose or win together and asks him to choose between deal and jail. He asks for time. She replies that she won’t wait for a lifetime for him to agree for the deal. She walks away but she is scared that this might turn against her. Vihaan says that Ridhima is keen on getting the property but it will be fun to fight against her.
At night, Ridhima looks at Vansh and hers frame emotionally and says that she misses him a lot. She hugs his jacket and cries remembering him. She says that he has always been with her when she was alone and supported her when she felt weak but today she has found herself lonely. She cries saying that she tries to be like him but fails.
Ridhima puts the jacket back inside the closet and finds a box in it. “For Ridhima” is written on it. Ridhima recognizes Vansh’s handwriting. She sits and opens the box finding a glass sphere inside it. She finds a letter in the box and gets to know that Vansh prepared this gift for her birthday. She remembers how Vansh used to give her surprises.
She keeps reading the letter. Vansh has written that there is a challenge for her which he has prepared for her birthday: she must reach the 8th December 2017 secret before her birthday and find out the biggest secret of his life. Ridhima thinks that only three hours are left for her birthday. She finds another piece of paper with the letter. There are some colours on it and she finds that familiar.
Vihaan turns on the lights and grabs the letter and papers to find out what Ridhima was reading so carefully. However, the letter is blank. He asks what she is doing with the painting that is in Ishani’s room looking at the paper that was with the letter. He gives back the letter to Ridhima and leaves.
Ridhima wonders how the letter got blank. She turns off the lights and the text has appeared again. She understands that the letter has been written in an ink that can be read only with candlelight.
Suddenly Vihaan comes and makes Ridhima wear a handcuff wearing the other side of the handcuff on his own hand. He asks Ridhima to reveal what was written on the letter if she wants to be released. Ridhima refuses. Vihaan throws the key. Ridhima bashes him. Vihaan says that he is hungry and wants to go to the dining table to eat. Ridhima wonders what to do since only two and half hours are left for her birthday.

Precap: Ridhima tries to find out the secret. She finds a map. Vihaan wants to stop Ridhima before she finds the 8th December secret. Ridhima finds a locker and manages to open it. It’s midnight. Ridhima finds an envelope and there are pictures of Vansh and Vihaan in it. She understands that the two knew each other since before.
