The episode starts with Bhishm trying to convince Pandu to stay a the king. He suggests him to rule the kingdom being a Saint. However Pandu refuses it. He says that he can’t get his punishment being surrounded by wealth and in Palace.
Pandu takes blessings from Bhishm before leaving to forest. On the other side Shakuni is again trying to provoke Dritirashtra. Dritirashtra is sad that Pandu is leaving the Palace but Shakuni fills his mind against Pandu. He says that he shouldn’t feel bad for Pandu.
Dritirashtra is about to say something when Gandhari comes there. She shouts at Shakuni for provoking Dritirashtra. She asks him to stop digging past wounds but Shakuni answers her back. Gandhari asks him to stop creating differences in her family. Shakuni tells Dritirashtra that after Pandu it will be his son who’ll be the king. If not the curse then would Pandu allow his son to be the king. Shakuni leaves successfully provoking Dritirashtra mind. Gandhari asks him to stop Pandu but he asks her to keep quite.
Kunti and Pandu are with Madri who’s crying hard over Pandu’s decision. Madri asks why would they need to leave the Palace as it was a mistake that he killed the Rishi. Madri says that it’s not his fault as it’s her who asked him to get the deer. Kunti says that it’s not her fault but Madri gets offended and asks if she’s saying that it’s Pandu’s fault as he tried fulfilling her wish. They both argue but Pandu intervenes and stops them.
Pandu asks Madri to stop funding faults when Madri asks why would be unborn child should be born in the forest. Kunti asks Madri to stop planning for future of children who are not even born. Pandu tells Kunti and Madri about Rishi’s curse which he hid from everyone. He says that this is the reason he wants to go to forest. Kunti says that they will also follow him and Madri too decides to go with him.
Satyavati is upset over Pandu’s decision. She worries for Hastinapur future. Bhishm says that he will make Dritirashtra the acting King as he’ll not let the throne empty. Satyavati wonders if Dritirashtra will agree to it but Bhishm says that he’ll be just a representative of King in handling laws but will not have any king powers. Satyavati agrees and decides to make any of the children the King when the time comes. She’s also worried whether Dritirashtra will agree to it.
At Palace Shakuni finds Dritirashtra and apologizes him. He says that he said Bhishm that Dritirashtra won’t take the charity position as the king. Dritirashtra agrees and says he don’t want such positions. Shakuni says that the King of Panchal may not be the descendant of Bharat but he’s definitely the descendant of Chandra and can be the king. He says about Pandu’s curse to Dritirashtra when Dritirashtra mentions it. Bhishm comes there and asks Dritirashtra to take up the throne. Dritirashtra gets inti thinking while Shakuni smiles.
Precap : Dritirashtra threatens Gandhari to give him a son else he would marry another woman. On the other hand Kunti says about her boon to Pandu and he gets elated. He asks Kunti to pray thinking Dharmadev and Yudhishtir is born.
