The episode starts with Surya and Anu visiting the temple. Anu is praying to God while Surya is looking at her. Anu asks Surya to pray joining his hands together. Surya says he can pray without joining hands too. Anu says if he can go office wearing lugi. Surya joins his hands. He asks if he can pray to God for the happiness of his beloved people.
Anu says One shouldn’t reveal his prayers to others. Anu then asks if he has come to the temple for her. He asks why she’s telling like that. Anu asks if he remembers when he last visited the temple. He remembers his first temple visit with Anu. Anu says even that time she forced him to pray joining his hands.
Surya says it’s not like he doesn’t want to pray to God, he will pray if that will make his mom happy. Anu asks then if he’s praying now for her. Surya says usually he doesn’t do what he doesn’t like… He asks her shall we pray. Anu prays closing her eyes while Surya admires her.
Subu calls Neel. He asks to meet him to talk about something important. He says he even took half day leave for that. He then goes to get ready. Pushba asks him why he has return home early. Subu says he’s going to meet Neel. Pushba says he has become more responsible. She adds they shouldn’t rush things as it’s about Anu’s life.
Subu assures he will take a right decision after inquiring. Subu walks out. Pushba and the bodyguard follow him. Pushba tells Subu to get all details regarding Neel’s family and mainly his jadagam. Subu pulls her leg saying he will even bring his identity card, ration card… He is about to go but he stops seeing the bodyguard following him. Subu says he needn’t to follow him as he’s going to meet his friend and will return safely. Bodyguard refuses saying he can’t disobey Surya’s order.
Just then Swamiyadi comes there. Bodyguard tries to stop her, but Pushba says he shouldn’t stop her and asks him to stand away. She apologizes to Swamiyadi. When Pushba prays that everything should go well, Swamiyadi says good or bad isn’t in our hand. We all are puppets and our threads are in Goddess hand. They all act according to her wish.
She says to Subu he’s going to sell the flowers in the cyclone. Subu leaves followed by the bodyguard. Pushba asks to come home as today is Ashtami. Swamiyadi says not today. She says something again which is beyond Pushba’s understanding.
Subu meets Neel in a restaurant. He apologizes for coming late and wasting his time. Neel says nothing like that.
At the temple, Anu finds Surya looking at her without praying. She says she knows he doesn’t believe in God. Surya says everyone has his own God. If Pillayar is her God, turst is his God. The priest asks Anu’s name snd her birth star name which she gives then he asks her husband’s name. Anu looks at Surya blushing. Surya asks to do pooja on God’s name.
At the restaurant, Subu hesitates to start the topic. He asks Neel if he has any elders who cares for him in his family. Neel says he has no one apart Surya who cares for him and whom he considers as his role model. Neel takes him inside to talk. At the temple Surya and Anu are sitting on the floor.
Anu gives the kukumam. Surya smiles. Anu says she knows that he doesn’t like it at all. Surya holds Anu’s hand. He applies the kukumam. Anu notices the priest and she says the priest took us for couple. Surya asks her to talk slowly. He says sometimes elders misunderstood things, there’s nothing wrong in it. He says sometimes mistakes lead to good things like Pankaj failed to pay traffic fine so in anger he came in the bicycle that day and met her in the auto. Now they are here. Anu smiles saying she understands. They leave for home.
At the restaurant, Neel asks Subu what happened, why he’s hesitating to talk. Subu starts talking about Anu’s marriage.
