The episode starts with Anokhi looking at the trophy. Aastha asks her to not worry as the trophy belongs to her. She says that she never saw an ambitious girl like her and she believes that she reaches heights. Anokhi’s friends congratulate and praise her. However they reveal about Anokhi’s father planning for her marriage.
Anokhi gets sad. Aastha supports Anokhi and asks her to not let go off her ambition at marriage stage. Anokhi says that she will not let that happen. She says that she wants to study and she will. Anokhi says that she considers her as her inspiration and wants to become like her. Aastha asks her to not become like anyone and be just Anokhi herself. Anokhi takes her leave. Aastha gets a text and gets shocked.
At Sabherwals residence, everyone are discussing about the broken engagement. Shaurya’s father asks what’s wrong with Shagun doing her PhD. He says that they themselves run an institution for arts and commerce and they are stopping the growth of a girl. Shaurya says that he didn’t do anything wrong as he has informed Shagun very clear that he only wants a home maker while dating and its her who cheated him. He says that he don’t want someone like his mother and leaves.
Shaurya’s father blames Devi for giving the wrong upbringing to him. His brother scolds him for looking down on Devi’s sacrifices. He says its her who brought up Shaurya when his wife chose her career and when he’s drowned in alcohol. He asks what did he do as Shaurya’s father. His another brother supports his brother’s words. Shaurya’s father sits dejected. He looks at his wife’s number and says no one listens to him. Their bahu says her mother in law that she can understand if its arranged marriage like her but why is so many restrictions in love marriage too. Her mother in law says that it’s due to Shaurya’s past and asks her to let it go as its a long story. She leaves.
Anokhi’s mother waits impatiently for her as Anokhi returns late. Anokhi’s father asks her the reason for her delay and Anokhi says about debate competition. Her father scolds her and Anokhi argues with him. He says about alliance but Anokhi is against it. He blames Rama’s upbringing for her adamant nature and Anokhi asks why’s he blaming her for no reason. Their argument intensifies and her father raises hand against Anokhi.
But before that Anokhi’s mother slaps her and asks her to go inside. Anokhi leaves fuming. Later, Anokhi’s mother brings food for her but Anokhi is angry. She persuades her and explains the about her helpless situation. Anokhi says that she will not give in to her fate and she’ll make sure to break the marriage. Anokhi’s father taunts them seeing them together. He says that groom’s family will see her and asks her to stay home the whole day and leaves.
