The episode starts with everyone flying kites from roofs of their houses celebrating Basant Panchami. Bua Ji complain about Munshi’s girl being spoiled and blames Ranjan and her stories for filling girls’ mind with such stuff. Uday says that she likes Ranjan’s stories too. Bua ji denies that and tells Amrit’s mother what if Amrit believed such stuff.
Vashma is insisting for Amrit to reveal Lala that she is Ranjan but Amrit completely denies that saying that he is already angry after what happened with Munshi’s daughter. Lala is really worried and his wife is trying to comfort him saying that Amrit is not like that girl.
Vashma tells Amrit that Lala is going to be so proud learning that the famous Ranjan, loved by whole Lahore, is his daughter but Amrit says that she doesn’t want to disappoint her father who is her earth while her dreams are her sky. Lala’s wife is tying his pagdi. He tells her about his wish to find a suitable boy for Amrit who will keep her happier than him.
Vashma asks Amrit about Randhir and whether their story will be left to letter. At the same time, Randhir is talking about Ranjan with his friend while sitting on a carriage. He says that there seems a connection between him and Ranjan’s stories. Amrit tells Vashma that she wants to meet Randhir but when destiny will want.
Randhir stops the carriage when it passes near Om Niwas. Amrit and Vashma are giving them back while flying kites on roof. Randhir has noticed Indian flag made by dupattas hung on roof and draw it praising it. He leaves and just then Amrit’s friend notice him and tells Amrit and Vashma that a handsome guy was looking towards them.
Amrit wins the kites competition and Lala is very proud. He praises her. Vashma’s brother comes and says that the next Basant Panchami will be celebrated by in their respective country. He supports partition and ends up arguing with Amrit’s brother.
Amrit shares with Vashma her sadness caused by seeing the two best friends arguing. Vashma says that their friendship wasn’t as strong as theirs. They write their names on a kite and fly it in the sky.
At night, Vashma comes to meet Uday who is frustratedly holding his broken hokey. Vashma pulls his leg and says that she shall show a magic. Bua look at them from balcony. Vashma shows a new hockey stick but throws it on ground teasing Uday. The two get scared seeing Uday’s father. Vashma throws her dupatta on hockey to hide it from Uday’s father. The latter asks her to handle her dupatta. After he leaves, Vashma gets her dupatta back and gives the hockey stick to Uday.
The next morning, Vashma comes to tell Amrit that Randhir has come to Lahore. Amrit wants to meet him but she is not willing to reveal him that she is Ranjhan. Later, they reach in front of the place where Randhir is staying and look at it from the car. The car leaves but Randhir, who is coming out, notices Amrit’s hand and recalls seeing the bracelet in the hand of the girl with burkha he met the previous days.
On the other hand, Uday is rushing to give clothes to his father and Bua is looking at him and asking him the reason of his hurry.
Later, Vashma teases Amrit who is all set to meet Randhir. The latter has dressed up like a person who rides carriage and is hoping to meet Ranjhan. Vashma and Amrit come to his carriage only asking him to get him to the place where Randhir is staying. He takes them there where they come to know from Randhir’s friend that he isn’t there. Randhir is acting to be Randhir’s “driver” so, when the two sit back on the carriage, they ask him how Randhir looks. Randhir replies that he is an oldie. They ask his whereabouts and Randhir asks them about Ranjan in exchange but they don’t answer. Randhir notices Amrit’s bracelet and stares at her when she pays him. They share an eyelock.
On the road, Uday’s father is dancing but he slips and his shirt tears. Everyone laughs. He is taken inside the house. Whole family gathers there. Dr Lala is proud of Uday who is playing hockey. Ranjan wants to reveal her secret too and tells his father that she is Ranjan and her dream is to be a writer. Dr Lale faints shocked. It is revealed to be Ranjan’s dream only. She hopes her father never learns her truth.
Meanwhile, Randhir finds a diary in the carriage and guesses that it belongs to the girls. He opens it and then looks on.

Precap: Bua ji looks at Uday and Vashma who are together in a room. Randhir, with his face covered, is talking to Dr Lala with Ranjan’s diary. Ranjan looks at them worried.
