The episode starts with Sundaravalli telling that Akhila will definitely calls Parvathi and they will cook together. Akhila keeps calling Parvathi asking to take the salt or to take the spoon. Family happily watches everything. Akhila asks Parvathi to stay with her in the kitchen to help her.
Vanaja gets irritating on seeing Akhila and Parvathi cooking together. She thinks of spoiling the food. Vadivel understands her plan. He heats the spoon and places there. Vanaja comes to the kitchen to puts lot of salt in the curry. She touches the heated spoon and screams in pain.
Sundaravalli and her family go to the temple. The priest does the puja. He gives garlands to Akhila and Purushotaman. They exchange the garlands. Sundaravalli asks the priest to give garlands to her grandsons as they’re also married. Adhi and Parvathi hesitate to exchange the garlands since Akhila may not like it. Sundaravalli and Purushotaman convinces them and they exchange garlands. Everyone happily claps hands while Akhila looks unhappy. Vadivel and Singaravellan mokes Vanaja.
Vanaja notices Akhila going towards Sundaravalli’room. She wonders why Akhila is going to meet Sundaravalli and goes to overhear their conversation. Sundaravalli tells Akhila that she made a decision. She has called to get her approval. Vanaja thinks Sundaravalli will talk about Parvathi. Akhila tells she never disapproved her decision. Sundaravalli tells yet she will be happy if she supports her decision. She asks if they can let Vanaja, Parvathi and Aishwarya do the padayal preparation for their ancestors. Akhila agrees. Sundaravalli tells the next generation should also take forward their family traditions and also they can see who knows it better.
Parvathi tells Aishwarya that she’s scared. Aishwarya tells she’s an expert in performing puja. Arun also agrees with her. Aishwarya tells this must be a test for Parvathi to impress Akhila. Arun agrees with her. Aishwarya tells they will take Parvathi straight away to their house. Parvathi is scared of failing in the test and not being able to win Akhila’s heart. Sundaravalli tells she heard everything. She asks Parvathi not to worry.
She advises Parvathi to perform the puja with whole heart and assure God and their ancestors will accept her puja. She then tells after the padayal she should offer food to the crows. If the crows eat the food, it will be considered as their ancestors accepted her puja. Aishwarya tells their ancestors already accepted Parvathi’s puja once. Arun tells Parvathi to perform the puja without any fear. Sundaravalli tells her blessings will be always with her and asks to perform the puja confidently.
Vanaja who overhears everything thinks of plotting against Parvathi. Vanaja stops a servant. She asks the servant to do her work and she will give her money in return. Vadivel sees Vanaja talking with the servant and gets suspicious.
