Shaheer Sheikh lives the character of Abir Rajvansh in Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke

Shaheer Sheikh, the tall handsome hunk who had stolen millions of hearts as Arjuna in the mythological drama Mahabharat and later as a chocolate boy Dev Dixit in Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi, is currently playing the role of Abir Rajvansh in Star Plus popular show Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke. Well playing the role would be an understatement, given the intensity in which the actor is portraying the role, we should say he is living as Abir. Be it happiness, sadness, love, even heart break. The actor is just bang on with his expressions and body language in such a way that we as audience can actually feel what he is going through.

As an actor we have seen his growth and Abir is one such role that is tailor made for him. Shaheer has shown different shades of Abir as a guy who spreads happiness, always cheerful and positive at the same time hiding the pain of missing his father since childhood. We later saw him as a guy in love and getting romantic with his ladylove Mishti who became his entire world. When he realized his father is a fraud and has been pretending all along, we could literally feel the betrayal and emotional pain Abir must be feeling.

The show has taken a small leap recently where Abir has broken up with Mishti due to Meenakshi’s blackmail. The actor showed the pain of a man nursing a heartbreak flawlessly. His eyes speaks thousands of words in scenes where there is not much dialogue for him. His expressive eyes communicate more than his dialogs. Maybe that is the reason makers have decided to make Abir wear glasses to hide his pain post leap as Mishti says his eyes speaks the truth and the intensity of his gaze says it all.
It is absolutely a treat to watch Shaheer as Abir who makes all the girls wish they get such a guy in real as their life partner. Hope to see Mishbir unite in the show soon. We cant wait to see the old cheerful happy go lucky Abir again
